Black Gold Grill

We were heading back from a baby shower in central Kansas and happened upon this gem of a restaurant in Eldorado Kansas on Saturday afternoon. I don't remember the name of my cheeseburger, but it had a pretzel bun, bbq sauce, ranch dressing and an onion ring. Just delicious! It came with French fries and they sure tasted and looked like they were homemade. Just wonderful. Everything was great, thank you, I highly recommend!

Great place to eat in El Dorado. They have the best home made French fries.In our group of five we had chicken strips, a club sandwich, a chicken fried sandwich, and two Philly cheese steaks. All were great. In fact, we went back for breakfast the next two days. The biscuits and gravy are good as well as the egg breakfasts. The bacon and sausage Pattie's were properly cooked and tasted great. On the second breakfast trip we ordered a pancake. Well worth it as the syrup is warm and the pancake was just the right size. Coffee is good too. No complaints.

Looks like Moe's changed the name and spruced it up a bit, but the menu looks about the same. Not gonna complain. The food is still good, the prices are still decent. Wait staff is friendly. Everything was good. The BBQ is tasty and an ample amount for tge price.

I finally checked this place out, and I really enjoyed it! It's a great lunch spot in a town without many of those. Their sandwiches are very good, everything seemed fresh and well-prepared, and it was pretty busy when I was there. Glad to have another great restaurant in El Dorado!

Today 2/13/2025 I went in with a family member to have breakfast. I do not know the waitresses name, but she was not a pleasant girl. She acted as though she was in a hurry to take our order and impatient. She made a big deal about how we wanted an item cooked and made a scene about it when going into the kitchen. She began to tell the cook how she hoped he f'ing heard the order because she was irritated with the f'ing people that don't understand that that item only comes one way. Which in fact doesn't come just one way. We eat at this establishment often and no one else has ever questioned our orders before. She was quite rude to us throughout the rest of our meal. The waitress always used foul language when having conversation with the cook. That is not how you should speak in front of customers what so ever. I have been in hospitality for many years and I was shocked, appalled and highly disappointed as I usually have a good experience at this establishment.

RAW CHICKEN FRIED CHICKEN!! Most of the food is stored bought too. Potato salad was exactly the one HEB sells. Mashed potato was the instant one also. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING!

Stopped in while traveling through El Dorado. Great lil mom n pop no frills country diner. Had the pulled pork bbq sandwich and fresh cut fries. Pork was delicious perfectly seasoned and prepared. The bbq sauce balanced well with the flavor of the pork, without being overpowering. Fries were good but could have been cooked a little bit longer for my taste. Service was friendly and fast. Overall, I would definitely stop by again if ever in the area.

Quick visit to El Dorado & decided to try Black Gold Grill. Great home style breakfast - we will definitely be back before leaving for home.
