Bill And Essie's BBQ

Wowzers- we were intrigued by the five star reviews and wanted to try it out for ourselves. We each got the slider starters to be able to sample different meats. They did not disappoint! We like to sample different sides. The chips, mac and cheese and coleslaw were 11/10. Now for the BBQ beans- they had a chili like texture with a healthy amount of meat in them. We were left with a situation like the scene in the movie from When Harry met Sally. Thank goodness we had gotten take out because that could have been awkward in a family restaurant. Definitely will be returning!

Bill and Essie's has fantastic BBQ in a quiet, lovely downtown area. I've only been once, being a visitor from California, but I plan to go every time I'm in the area.I really loved the BBQ ribs and brisket! This place could easily become wildly popular with folks in surrounding areas if they would pair up with a local microbrewery to offer a beer selection more interesting than the three lite beers plus one Pilsner they offered (all in cans) while I was there.

Great food , real BBQ, and friendly service. Place was clean and easy to navigate. Restrooms very clean and easy to get to.

Nice big bbq sandwiches and friendly service make this place a real find on the road. Bill himself checked on how we liked it and my husband raved about the sausage in his sandwich and I about the pulled pork and The Good Stuff white bbq sauce in my North Carolina sandwich We had more than enough homemade potato chips to share and more (taking for dinner!) wonderful food and a great stop.

Visiting from AZ and wow this place is amazing! Incredible bbq - especially the white bbq sauce and brisket.. omg. I would've bought 5 bottles of it to take home if I could. Love the family atmosphere & that everything is fresh & homemade. So sad that we're leaving tomorrow and we can't get more!!!

Amazing customer service and the choice of sauces for their BBQ is outstanding. The flavor of the meat is delightful and delicious.
