Best of the Orient Restaurant

This small town Chinese buffet is great with such friendly staff and great food. The price is amazing. $10 for all u can eat lunch. The restaurant is small with cute decor. Recommend!!

I have to say I kind of had my hopes up for this place. I had eaten BOTO as a kid and when I saw it had reopened and even offered sushi now. I read a piece from the local paper, with a few local foodies, saying they had sushi all over and this place could definitely impress. I'm confident now they must have been eating gas station sushi because this place was not even close to par. I ordered the tuna roll and the Philadelphia roll. The tuna roll was so rotten tasting we couldn't even eat it. It had a terrible, rotten fish flavor so we had to throw it away. The philly roll was very basic but left a lot to be desired. We also ordered the curry chicken, which saying it was bland was an understatement. I have no idea why it's so hard to find a decent Asian restaurant as of lately, I'm starting to lose hope.

Love this place! I'm vegan and it's one of the only places in Wellington where I can find something delicious and wholesome. The owners are happy to go off menu and create a delicious concoction of veggies and tofu. (Well maybe willing with a smile might be more appropriate.) I've never actually eaten the buffet options, but family and friends who have joined me have raved about it. It's great food and atmosphere at a great price!!

Thai.dishes are wonderful and tasty. I prefer them The buffet is good but really like the Thai dishes

I have called the day before I went to find out their Buffet prices and of course the price is different for lunch than dinner. I asked what was the difference between the lunch and the dinner buffet and was told that on dinner they have fried shrimp and other seafood. We showed up for dinner and they didn't have any fish or fried shrimp or seafood. I asked about it and the lady said well we just get whatever they cook. So I paid a dinner price for a lunch menu. I've reached out a few times to see if I could find out what happened but nobody returns messages or answers the phone .

Love there lunch buffet. Quality of food is amazing as well as the price. I have dined in and I have ordered takeout and both experiences by far exceeded my expectations. Owners and their employees are very friendly. Restaurant was very clean. The food had a lot of flavor in each bite, it didn't taste like it was on a warmer all day or that it was microwaved. My family is now a routine customers.
