I called in the morning, describing the issue. Customer service stated they could have a tech there in 30 minutes. Of course, I agreed, the bathroom had been unoperational for several days at this point. The gentleman who showed up was polite enough but obviously not ready to address the plumbing issue.He gave a $700+ quote to my father to roto rooter the drain to clear the clog and further told him that all the piping under the house was in desperate need of replacement and that would only be an additional $6500. He said that the quotes would be emailed to my email, and if we wanted to pursue the stated repairs, they would deduct the $60 house call from the final bill.No, thank you! This experience definitely left a bad taste. They did not come ready to address the problem but to guess the issue and upcharge.The problem was rectified by a local company that charged $180 to address and fix the issue. I also had them inspect the lines and was told we absolutely did not need new pipes. Current pipes are iron, tied up well off the ground, and have no leaks.This is not the place to call if an issue needs to be addressed immediately. They come to give a quote and then schedule work at a later time. Also, keep in mind this is a national company, and prices reflect national overhead. We now have a "go-to" plumber, and this company isn't it.

They came out for a leak between the house and the well. They cut the electricity and had to splice it. The patch on the line failed and they had to come back and replace the line. Now the splice in the electricity has failed and they refused to fix it. I spent over $3000.00 on the water line and now I have to pay someone else to fix the electricity they damaged. I will never use or recommend Ben Franklin Plumbing again

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR YOUR PLUMBING PROBLEMS! THEY ARE TRASH. They dug up my entire backyard to replace a collapsed pipe to the sewer only to find out they were digging in the wrong location because ding dong didn't bother to use his locating equipment. Spoke to the GM about getting compensation for having to remove concrete, repair a section of fence they removed and destroyed, and all of the yard repairs I will have to make to get it back to grade and grass (mind you all the entire back yard was trenched for no reason because of the wrong location). GM didn't seem to care, sent the foreman out again who has been telling me for 4 weeks he would take care of it. Half assed graded the yard, didn't put the fence back, broke wood slats on the pergola, looks like ass.They also cut an electrical line with the excavator. I repaired it while they had it dug up. They cut it again and buried the damn thing. I have been told for weeks they would fix that... still waiting.Stay away from John Wood if he shows up at your door, guy is a smarmy idiot. All of these jackoffs have blown smoke up my ass saying they were going to make it right and going to fix everything to get me to pay my bill. Full of it. I would never recommend them to anyone. Wish I would have seen their Yelp rating before I called them but it was an emergency so I called the name I see around town all the time.

This company is the worst in Wichita and don"t pay any attention to their 5 starrating on face book, there is nothing there. Had this employee come out to see about replacing the faucet in are shower but apparently it was above his abilities. He said he would send somebody else and then billed me for the service call????? A plumber came out the next day and after taking out the oldfaucets he presided to knock down the backing board behind the shower wall. After he was done with the shower there was banging coming from water pipes we never had. He replaced the shut off valves under sink after calling his manager. Then replaced the faucet handle on the bathroom sink, nothing helped. After all that I had bill for $1015.00. I feel I was over charged and still have noisy pipes.

I called Benjamin Franklin about putting heat tape on our pipes. They came out for a service call which cost me $411. The next day two guys came out to install the tape costing me $1057. I was told it would be a half job. They took 1 hr. As a bonus they arranged for an electrician, AKA Mr Sparky (a sister company) to do an electrical inspection. I received quotes on various items that needed work. Mr Sparky told me that the heat tape should be on a dedicated circuit and not on the extension cord they ran into my utility room as it was unsafe. He also told me that installing heat tape was an electrical job and not plumbing. I called Benjamin Franklin about this and was told by the receptionist that they did it the only way they knew how. I called Mr Sparky back with more questions. They were busy and said they would call me back shortly. 2 days later and I've not heard a word from them. Now I question the quality of the work they did. Is it correct?? Is it safe?? I cannot recommend these companies to anyone. Don't waste your money. I've learned a costly lesson.

It was way too expensive. The technician was professional. They charged $200 to just come to my property to tell me they couldn't resolve my issue. I made the mistake they would include the trip cost in the repair.

They tell you about charge to come to your house but they don't tell you they are going to need $212 just to start the job and it could be more so make sure you ask. Gus said they have set prices so they should tell you before hand Oh, he did say it would take 30 minutes or less This is addition to the service call which I had to pay of course Remember read the reviews before calling but in my opinion, this company is money hungry
