Bella Sol Bistro

The menu at Bella Sol Bistro is crazy diverse. Some would say a little too much so. You've got Italian (spaghetti pomodoro and fettuccini Alfredo) and Mexican (birria tacos) and Korean (Asian crispy pork belly) and Mexican-Korean (bulgogi beef tacos) and British (fish and chips) and Southern (shrimp and grits) and American (burgers and steak). Aghhhhh! It's a lot. I spent a lot of time just staring at the menu, trying to figure out what I wanted. I landed on the Korean Tacos, which is marinated beef bulgogi, red peppers, scallions, peanuts, wontons and gochujang sauce, all in soft flour tortillas. You get two tacos in each order. They were good but very sweet! I wasn't a fan of the flour tortilla.The people at my table ordered a couple of appetizers -- one of which I loved. The fried burrata was a big ball of cheese hanging out in a dish of vodka sauce, topped with cashew pesto, parm and served with crostini. It was lovely, and I wish I would have just ordered this and ate it all myself.We sat outside on the outdoor patio, which I would not recommend during the summer. There were so many flies! The restaurant did have some fan-things they put on the tables to shoo the flies away, but they only did so much. Next time, I think I'll just sit inside.

Very good food with great customer service. But everything is made to order so be patient. Our party of 9 took an hour to get and out, but it was worth it. Sit back, relax and have a drink while you wait. It's worth the drive to spend a day in Lindsborg.

Great food and service my experience was well here as we came in for lunch got the birria with Brie will not let you down check this place out!!

Food was exceptional! Loved how chef incorporated lingonberries in various meat dishes. Best cheesy grits ever.

Get the tacos. omg. I had the beef tacos but I've heard good things about the fish tacos as well.

Sigh. As a restaurant owner in my earlier years, I understand how important word of mouth reviews are for a new business. That's why it pains me to be the first registered Yelp review sharing my experience. Let me premise my review by saying with BSB haven been open for nearly two months, there should be no excuse for the following. The exterior is uninviting and you wonder if they are open for business. The interior doesn't set itself apart from previous owner's. Either way, it needs a thorough cleaning. The one and only FOH team member was green as grass and should probably reconsider his career choice. Meanwhile, the BOH team members frequently had smoke breaks and scrolled their phones between orders in view of patio guests. It is a hit or miss for the food to look appealing (the long grey hair in our burger did not help)....but could taste very good. I would continue, however, with those key highlights, I'll let you decide whether BSB deserves your patronage.
