Driven past this place for over 10 years and didn't even realize it was there. Owner tells us he makes a great tri-tip and ribeye. We had the mushroom slices and steak tips from the appetizer menu. Holy cow! Amazing! Husband had a hot beef, I had a smothered chicken and kiddo had a grilled cheese. All fabulous typical down home diner fare. Tables were heavy and sturdy. Prob as old as the building. Lots of folks patronizing the place. Food was great. Happy we stopped. Will definitely stop again

We stopped in as we drove back home after the eclipse, expecting it to be slammed and get slow service, as how often does a restaurant in Belleville KS get a rush on Mondays at 3 pm for lunch/dinner? They were slammed, but we were able to get excellent, quick service, as were the other people who stopped in for a post eclipse late lunch/ early dinner. The food was very good as well, as we had a cheeseburger and a tri tip sandwich as our food selections. The cheeseburger was thick and juicy and the tri-tip was smoked just right and salty/delicious just like it says on the menu. Additionally, the strawberry lemonade hit the spot! We are very glad we chose the Bel Villa steakhouse for our meal on the way back from the eclipse and will stop again if we are in the area!

Friendly service, Good for meat eaters, a bit sparse, but beef reigns! The special was a filet mignon wrapped in bacon which was prepared on the rare side of medium rare (which is better than overdone). It was so much meat a to-go Box brought it home to be fried with eggs in the morning! The Taco Baked Potato was just the right meal choice for me.

Over the last few years, during the County Fair, this place has become a reliable mainstay for the many race fans who come here from around the country looking for a place to eat in this little burg with the nationally known race track. Known for their breakfasts among the fans and their willingness to stay open late after the races this one week per year, the wait staff is gracious and their breakfasts are good.If you like steaks and burgers, you will like to eat here. If you have something else in mind, there is little creativity, no fresh vegetables in this land of farm-a-plenty and generally disappointing food.Side salads, even in the middle of summer, are iceberg lettuce only. My lovely waitress took back the yellow core, half the size of my fist, that lay in my salad to exchange for a few leafs of green lettuce. Vegetables are canned. My small baked potato was over baked and dry with over cooked and dry bacon bits. $2.15 for the potato and another $1.50 to load it.I asked for a single grilled chicken breast and was charged the price of a sandwich - $5.75. They used a press, yes! a press to cook it flat and, of course, it was overcooked and dry. It's very sad when you can cook beef to perfection; but have no understanding of how to cook something as simple as a lean chicken breast.I have no plans to spend any more money in here the next few days except perhaps for breakfast. I am never really pleased with anything else here and don't need beef, beef, beef.

Waited 20 minutes and the only person to acknowledge our presents was the old lady clearing tables who brought us water. Two waitresses totally ignored the fact we were there.

We needed a place to have a family gathering for a funeral. The folks at the Bel Villa were exceptional! They prepared good food, gave us a private space, made sure we had beverages and over all were wonderful. We would highly recommend them. Members of our family were there for breakfast a couple of days. Again-- good food and good service.
