Like the wooden Frisco Water tower across the street, the Hotel is a survivor from the old steam engine railroad days.
Airplane parking is right across the street from the hotel.
Beautiful sunset at the Beaumont Hotel and water tower.

Such a unique place! Pilots: You don't want to miss the chance to fly in here! It's definitely an entry for the logbook. Ya land on the grass strip East of town, taxi up onto the old state road and right into town past houses and buildings - and nobody even looks up because it's such a common occurrence. If you're a history or railroad buff don't miss this stop on the highway. There's a ton of railroad history in this little burg - and it's got one of the last surviving wooden water towers from the steam engine railroad days. The tower is in gorgeous condition and surrounded by a water pump, a BNSF caboose and a reconstructed Depot and (it's a fly-in destination too, remember) a static display old Beech 18.You can stay in the hotel or there's also an RV Park right outside the hotel. Food was great and the service prompt and friendly. What more can ya ask, right?

Beaumont Hotel is located in such a quiet area in the Flint Foothills. When you need to get away from all the rat race of the city then this would could be the ticket. The Hotel is historical, and so is the last wooden train water tower. The scenery is beautiful and relaxing. I haven't ever stayed overnight but would love too someday. The Inn keepers are so friendly and ready to please. The second Sunday of each month from March to Oct is a Motorcycle breakfast run. The food is to die for, you must try the biscuits and gravy with the breakfast buffet, the biscuits just melt in your mouth. There is a little airfield and the planes taxis down the street and park beside the inn. There are many places to visit that are close by that are also historical. If you get a chance stop and check it out...

Had a great time flying into the Beaumont Hotel. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a place to fly in and eat or spend the night. It is a very unique trip for aviators. Lots of motorcycles there - we were the only airplane. They need to install some tie downs for convenience. The breakfast was simple biscuits, gravy, and scrambled eggs. Go to Beaumont for the history and the unique flint hills experience. Don't nitpick the smaller details - this place is a desirable trip for the experience and atmosphere alone!

The food and service at Beaumont hotel is great. We stayed in the hotel a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it. The morning we were there we drank coffee in the balcony as a thunderstorm passed over the wind farm. There is a lot of historical photo's in the hallway of the hotel. Be sure to tour the upstairs. Also, I have flown into the grass airstrip several times. It is a lot of fun. The hotel is supposedly haunted but we were never spooked. Great place and great people.

Enjoyed a wonderful dinner. My wife had the chicken fried chicken was cooked very well and tastes great. I had the bacon cheddar burger. It was cooked well done but was still very moist. Fries were excellent. We would certainly recommend this out of the way restaurant/hotel to anyone looking to get out if Wichita.

Great restaurant. The service is great as well as the food. We had chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, green beans, bread and salad. The proportions were very ample and very delicious.

The only reason they get a 2 star is the building and its history. Our group of 25 was poorly taken care of with sloooooow service. We called ahead several days prior so this is not a drop in unannounced. It took us 2.5 hours to get fed with one wait staffer and a helper filling water glasses. My wife's fish and chips was fair and she said she should have known better to order this meal there. My chicken fried steak was average and the mashed potatoes Luke warm as was the green beans.

My husband and I have driven by and through Beaumont many times but we finally decided to stop and have dinner. The cafe is rustic in an old fashioned kind of way which we really liked. I was surprised to see the cafe had a full bar which was nice. I was able to enjoy a glass of wine after sitting several hours traveling in a car. Our waitress was very pleasant and took good care of us. I ordered the veggie wrap and it was huge. It was very good but it was a veggie wrap so... My husband ordered the chicken fried steak. Not so good. The steak was tough, the breading was over cooked and tasted almost burnt. The mashed potatoes were not instant and would have been good if they had not been lukewarm. Would we make the drive again just to eat there? No. We do enjoy the windmills and the town. It is really beautiful there.
