Stopped here on a road trip for a quick breakfast and this is exactly the hidden gem I was searching for. The waitress told us that they were short staffed and we still got sat and got our orders taken in less than ten minutes, our food came out maybe 3 minutes later. All of the staff were very kind to us and the food was amazing! The portions are very large but yummy. Our favorite part of the meal was the biscuits and gravy, the biscuits were perfectly fluffy and buttery! I would definitely recommend this cute cafe.

I eat here about twice a week. Prices are reasonable. The coffee flows until you decide you've had enough. The wait staff are friendly and efficient. If you order hash brown potatoes be forewarned that you are going to get a haystack! Asking for a half order results in the same amount. My only complaint is that the bacon has all the hog cooked out of it! It turns to dust when you touch it. One of my favorite dishes is the biscuits and gravy! I like it with eggs over easy on top. They also will prepare your eggs anyway you want them. Hard booked to poached and every way in between. I recommend that you give Bayards a try.

Good eats, great service, and the price? Very nice!Great spot for breakfast, the chicken fried steak and eggs are tops. Not far from I-70 and 135 if you're road tripping, and in my opinion, a better option than IHOP.

Do not eat here. Ordered a meatloaf dinner with mashed potatoes gravy and coleslaw. The only thing good was the coleslaw and mashed potatoes the meatloaf was Bland had no flavor no seasoning and very small the restaurant was not busy and it took a long time went with a friend and only got one roll served to us both we had to ask for another role the butter was cold so you can spend it on your roll

First timer! Went with a group of people. Got greeted and seated as soon as we got there. The server was very nice and fast. The food was pretty good and my order was right and had no complaints.

We went for breakfast over a year ago. Disappointed. So, we went back in January to see if it was a one-off bad day. Nope. Still terrible. The grease used to cook the food, which I suspect is butter flavored oil, was rancid. The English muffin had so much fake butter stuff on it that it was inedible. I'm a fan of a greasy spoon, so I'm good with greasiness, but it has to taste good. It was a lot of food, which people like, but what's the point if it's inedible? Also, the wait staff were not wearing masks at the height of the omicron variant spread. Still hunting for a good American breakfast place in Salina. Sticking with Mexican breakfast for now.

I love this place! Good diner type food,, nothing fancy,, everything homemade and very tasty. Great prices and big portions. Wait staff is very friendly and the customers seem just as nice. Best bacon in town. Clean and bright. Daily specials like meatloaf, chicken fried steaks, homemade soups daily, they even have Dorothy Lynch dressing for your salad. Check out the pies if you have any room left!! This is my daughters favorite place to eat because the food reminds her of grandmas!

Food wasn't bad. Service was really good. W e went for breakfast & thought it was expensive. Too many hash browns. Restaurant felt dark & not very cheerful. However it was clean. Wouldn't seek out the place to eat again.

Bayards is pretty good, the food is worth the price because it has that homemade, down home type cooking. It's not like Crackle Barrel where it is down home but, they kind of fake homemade taste. The service is what makes it because we go weekly and they know us and treat us amazing. They tend to have a consistent cloud. I would recommend this place to friends.
