Tulips at the Bartlett Arboretum
Flowers
One of the friendly cats that live here (they are put up for events).
"I saw a weeping willow crying in its pillow" per Patsy.
The entrance is like walking into another realm in a fairy tale.
The picture of the gentleman is the doctor who started the garden in 1910. The place has a fascinating history.

I love the Arboretum! It's beautiful! The tulips in the spring are wonderful. So many wonderful places to take gorgeous photos. The people who own it and run it are fabulous too. Very friendly and likable. I love that they sometimes sell trees. I bought a red maple tree for the yard last fall and it's doing very nicely this spring! I am so happy to have this tree. I want to plant more of them. I love when they have food trucks there and of course also live music !!!

April 2021What a great place!!! I visited in early April 2021, the tulips were in full bloom and the atmosphere was beyond delightful. Families were there picnicking, I've seen some other events posted, and will definitely be trying to attend. I believe entry is always a suggested donation, which hopefully everyone does to keep this awesome little place going.

We went when the Tulips were in full bloom. Loved it. It was beautiful. It did cost $10 per person to go in but it was worth it.

As a pastor I've seen my fair share of wedding venues, some very nice and others so-so. The Bartlett Arboretum is one place that I have desired to go back to personally take in its beauty. You will not believe you are in Kansas when you see this Dorthy (or Toto). Trees that reach the sky. Plants that look like they bloomed in the Garden of Eden and paths and a bridge that are breathtaking. To visit there is a suggested donation that is very fair and children are free. I do not have an idea about the cost of renting it for an event. If you have any doubts check my pictures.

Give a little give a lot.....free will donation with$5 suggestion....give more if you can if you can't you'll be welcomed the same into a little piece of a magic garden. A casino/hotel 10 miles north there's no reason not to have a sack lunch and a day here! I can only imagine the magic of weddings held here. Amazing!

Staff is super nice. I've been meaning to visit this place for a long time as I've had family in town all my life. This past April (2019) during Belle Plaine Tulip Festival, my parents and I made a quick trip over to walk through. Unfortunately, we got there right as they were closing it down. We found an employee just to be sure and she let us take a super quick walk around the grounds as she finished closing up. The place is beautiful and magical in its own way. I'm grateful to the employee who let us in despite it being closing time. I definitely look forward to being able to go again and appreciate it more fully.
