I stayed overnight at the Timber Creek B&B, which was amazing. But after touring the grounds and peeking into the barns (which serve as a venue for weddings, parties, get-togethers, etc.), I kind of wish I would have had my wedding here! It's a beautiful space, especially around twilight when the twinkle lights come on and everything is sparkly and magical-looking. The rooms at Timber Creek are the most unique I've ever seen. The main B&B house has three or four rooms, and each one is decorated with a different theme. My room (The Barnyard) is decorated with barn animals, and had an upstairs area. Upstairs was where you could find two twin beds, a reading nook, a baby crib, and a little lantern. This room would be so fun for a family to stay in, and it's very comfy.I got to peek at the other rooms, and each one is better than the last. One of the rooms (The Railroad) has trains in it! And if you want a really unique stay, ask for the Barn Owl Treehouse, which is literally a treehouse that you can stay in. Because this is a bed and breakfast, we got breakfast in the morning. It was delicious and homemade! They made sure to ask if there were any food allergies the night before, then they created a wonderful breakfast spread in the morning, which included apple tartlets, omelets, sausage patties, and lots of freshly brewed coffee. There was also cold cereal and a hot chocolate bar, too.Timber Creek is a big property, and you're welcome to explore. There are several walking paths -- some that lead to gardens and statues and other interesting sights around the grounds. You'll also come across Leo, at some point. He's the resident dog, and he loves to play fetch!

What a special place! We stayed in the treehouse and it was so cute. Has great amenities. Comfortable bed. We toured the rooms in the barn and they are beautiful. We were served crepes for breakfast--delicious! This place is a hidden gem. I will definitely be back.

This place is a little slice of heaven. Martin, Cheryl, and Julia are all so accommodating and hospitable. I've stayed here ten times, on one of the busiest weekends of the year and the B&B is always the highlight of my visit to Winfield. The grounds are beautiful. The people are kind. The dog is fun. The common areas are a great place to relax and spend time with friends, but there is always somewhere to find peace and quiet as well. Highly recommend!

My wife found this place in the Kansas magazine and we have been wanting to get away to a secluded area and kind of disconnect for a relaxing weekend. This was the perfect spot for that off on a little side dirt road a few miles north of Winfield Kansas. They have a restored barn with five guestrooms and then also a little cabin up in a tree! We chose the treehouse and it did not disappoint. Perfect for two people, it has everything you need. Bathroom a little small kitchenette in an upstairs loft with a queen bed. No TV but it had plenty of boardgames cards, puzzles etc. We brought a couple of books and enjoyed sitting on the porch and up in the tree. The porch has cute little white lights running up and down the banister so you can see. Very quiet and peaceful. It has an AC unit in case you get to warm and a electric fireplace in case you stay here when it gets chilly out. The grounds are beautiful because this is also a wedding venue. A historic old barn has also been restored and you can walk through there as well. Owners are very pleasant and serve up one heck of a breakfast in the morning! Since we stayed in the treehouse, our breakfast was brought to us in an adorable basket. We had frittatas, bacon, a fruit platter, and the best blueberry scones I've ever had. Also I keep no carafe of orange juice. Their dog, Leo, has a basket of balls that is kept by the B & B side. He is always out front and loves to play fetch. They have several cute sitting areas under the trees that are all set were twinkle lights and a walking path that goes around the property. Highly recommend and will definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay! Inn owner and manager are both friendly and attentive. Tree swings, a nice walking path, a beautiful vineyard and plenty of dining options for dinner in nearby Winfield. We saw deer, squirrel and toads as we sat on the front porch rocking chairs in the evening. Peaceful and nice getaway place.
