Love going to the drive in! All the staff is friendly and food is yummy and I just love the nostalgia of it all. Support your local drive in, we need to keep them around for another 100 years.

A Super fun way to spend the evening for anyone. The owners and staff are very friendly and available. Great entertainment for very little money. Good hometown atmosphere. We are regular visitors. Not perfect, but love it...

The Barco Drive-In in Lamar is an easily accessible outdoor theatre, with standard prices - a good value for watching a double feature. However, my fiance and I agreed that it did not hold a candle to 66 Drive-In at Carthage, Missouri (our usual haunt). Barco's screen is pretty tiny, for starters. Their bathrooms are NOT well-equipped at all. I did not even use the ladies facilities, they were that bad. I'm told the men's room was also tiny and nasty, and my fiance isn't typically a picky type of guy. They also have a LOT of advertisements before the features, and not just previews. Actual TV type ads. Yes you see this at the "regular" movie theatres too but I was disappointed by how much of it was shown. Also, instead of a fun retro-style "Intermission" video that makes you WANT to buy snacks and drinks, they have a preachy, overly dramatic clip about the demise of America's drive in and how you need to support the snack bar or else. Ugh. We bought nothing from their snack bar just based on that! I would definitely return again if they were showing two films I really wanted to watch on a drive-in screen. Otherwise, we'll probably stick with 66 Drive-In!
