Barclay Square Apartments

This is the best pest place I've lived. Neighborhood is friendly and everything is walking distance.

Stay as far away from this place as you can!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I lived there for 18 months (the first 6 weren't so bad, and then it took a turn for the worse). It took over a year of complaining about our toilet (that didn't work) before someone finally came to look at it. They replaced it the next day (it wouldn't even flush 1 square of toilet paper). The dishwasher NEVER worked. The INSANE apartment manager was a drunk who once woke us up (banging on our door) at 3 a.m. to have us zip her bridesmaids dress (?), all the while saying she had to get back to a party to "punch a guy in the neck". (I wish that I was making this up). Pit-bulls (banned on the property) were EVERYWHERE and rarely on a leash, the children in the complex did whatever they wanted (including breaking into cars, skateboarding off our stoop well into the night, and screaming for no reason). The cops were outside of my building almost every day. The pool was NEVER clean, and all of the lounge furniture was broken. We had roaches (from an apartment on the lower level) for 9 months, and they sent in their own exterminator twice a week who could be found lounging on my kitchen counters talking on his phone. When we moved in there were cigarette butts extinguished on our kitchen cutting board (from the lovely cleaning lady). I can go on and on, bottom line: Do NOT fall for the gimmick of a cheap deposit. There are other places in the area that are cheaper, better maintained, and MUCH more pleasant.

Barclay is terrible there's mold, pipes are clogging the office will never answer your call for anything unless rent is due don't let there fakeness in the office and the apartment they show you first isn't your apartment they show that to everyone to make they apartments look so amazing to trick please don't waste your money or time just to get live not work it especially if you got lil baby like me PSA: If your having Maintenance problems they seem to work a lil harder when rent is due then it becomes they problemsEnjoy the pics:)

Had mold in apartment from lesking eindow that poured in water during rains, the neglected to ever come fix it for a full 6 months and when i moved out they charged me for it and took my deposite. Report this scam apartment owners to the state get them fined

This place is not it, location is good however the manager is horrible not personable or presents herself the way a manager should and will falsify information, the size of one bedroom is size of 1 bedroom anywhere else, walls are thin and plumbing issues always. Price is high because of area and pool however its equal toEastborough or any other apartment complex those may even be better all around.

They will show you nice apartment with brand new appliances, clean carpet and beautifully landscaped yard.What you may get are appliances from the 70s that break every couple of months.-so make sure that you see the apartment that YOU will get.The manager pulled a fast one on me when I moved in.A couple of days before, they called me and said that my original apartment wasn't available, but would I take another one.I was in a tight spot because I wouldn't have a place to live if I said no.The apartment that I got hadn't been updated since Reagan was in office, smelled like cat urine and cigarettes, the carpet was covered in bleach spots and apparent animal feces spots.The whole time I lived there, maintenance calls were spotty.There were a few things that I had to just fix by myself.Office staff won't call you back if you call and ask a question.Very unfriendly.Property is advertised as being a fun place to live, but in reality, it's covered in dog feces and gang graffiti.Groups of teens walk through the dilapidated path behind the complex and start trouble.I had to help a woman once because three boys were beating up her teenage son who was out playing in the grass.Very unsafe.Neighbors stayed up all night partying.I even saw one man beating his girlfriend in front of a group of people.Called the police.A neighbor that I knew had someone from upstairs throw up on her balcony.When she went to the office, they told her not to start problems and clean it up herself.My car was broken into and there was no light on the building.The complex never fixed the light and I saw many other cars with busted windows while I lived there.Sketchy characters walking through the property at all times.I called the police on several occasions.Once because a man was watching two young girls play, he was hiding behind a brick wall and looking around as if to check if anyone was looking or not.Approached while getting out of my car multiple times by crackheads or people trying to let them 'borrow' my phone.Many of these things are indicative of city life, but the consistent un-professionalism of the complex forced me to leave.I will never live in a Village Park Community or recommend it to anyone.Read more: http://www.apartmentratings.com/rate/KS-Wichita-Windsor-at-Barclay-Square-1371572.html#ixzz1jHuCfqRe

Beautiful property. Friendly staff & maintenance is very fast to take care of anything I called about. I lived here for about 5 years and only moved due to my job transferring me. I had no issues during my stay at Barclay. I would recommend it to anyone.
