Horrible experience. They asked ME where my husband's body was when they'd picked him up from hospital then the employee said, "Oh yeah! He's in refrigeration!" They provided no services whatsoever except cremation and still didn't do that when promised. Death certificates were to arrive in 7-10 days and I'm still waiting 21 days later but they are doing nothing to expedite them. When I picked up my husband's ashes, which was very emotional, the employee was not sympathetic or understanding instead he wanted to gush on and on about how he'd be retired in 3 hours and 22 minutes.

It's been two months, and still no death certificate. I ordered my copies through Baker. Called the state to see if there's a problem (other than Covid) and they said Baker needed to call them since they ordered the certificates (for me). I passed that message on three times to our contact, Shelby, and never heard a word back with the status. Now I've called four times in the last five days and left a message for Shelby to call me, and NOTHING! Worst communication I've ever experienced.

Excellent staff. They were very knowledgeable, accommodating, and understanding. They had no problem explaining things and walking us through the process. I recommend them without reservation.

What wonderful people! The worst time in my life & I dreaded the day I had to go in & "talk"... boy was I WRONG, JAMEE,was so fabulously professional I just had to leave this review. I actually left there feeling fully taken care of. Questions that I didn't know how to ask, or hesitated to ask, I feel she could read my mind and she gently answered them b4 I could get my sad words out. Thank you from the bottom of my broken heart. @[email protected]

Experience was so horrible that I've actually reached out to the Funeral Liason of the Midwest Transplant Network and have recommended that they never refer Baker to another family again. From the looks of it, we're not the only family that had issues with them. As soon as they get their money, the professionalism falls apart.

This place was horrible, they were nice in the beginning and made things sound ok, they told us the viewing room would be small but warm and inviting. What we actually got was a hot as hell room that look like it came out of a Freddy Krueger movie, cremation room included.... The funeral director Shelby lied to us on more than one occasion, I can pinpoint 3 to be exact. And had we known how bad it was gonna be we never would have gone there. Now my nephews have to see their dad one last time in a frickin furnace room. Also she turned into a rude beach on the phone after they got our money... I truly pray this business goes out of business... Nobody should have to deal with this...

Worst experience I've ever had. They were so rude and inconsiderate. The people who came out to pick up my husbands body were rude cracking jokes and laughing all while they were in my house. I went up to do further arrangements and they were holding a service and because i was extremely upset and crying the man came in and told me I needed to quiet down or leave because of the service. They screwed up my husbands death certificate and I had to keep on them about it and finally picked it up 5 weeks after he passed. I looked at some Urns and asked specifly if half my husbands remains would fit into it and she said of course and when I went to pick up his remains I found out that they did NOT divide his remains as I specifically told them to. I also found out the urn i had asked about DID NOT hold my half of his remains. So I'm looking for an Urn. They don't tell you about all the other costs either. Like a permit to fire up the crematorium, the cost for the coroners permit, the death certificate is 15.00 a pop, storage of the body, and to see your loved one 1 last time it costs another 150.00. If I had known that I would have saved the money back to do so. My last vision of my husband was not a sight i would wish on anyone. I've been doing Home Health and Hospice for 25 years and this experience was the worst Ive encountered in my life.Linda HallWichita, Ks.

The staff here is great. We had a family dispute there, and half of my family stormed out, but we were still able to get everything done and signed because the staff is trained and professional. They walked me through the process of my mother's death so well and I am so grateful they were there for me.
