This was my third time going to St. Teresa in as many years. The first two times I was attended to right away. (First time was for being ill and dehydrated and other time was for receiving five stitches in my foot.) This last time I was very ill and dehydrated. They were very busy, however they were very attentive and apologetic for the wait. I would MUCH rather go here than anywhere in Wichita. I received my fluids and anti nausea medication and was sent home. I appreciate the nursing staff there and know they are going above and beyond to give the patients that walk in their doors the best care they can!

I'm aghast at how people come in with symptoms of a heart attack and get stuck in the lobby waiting. Understaffed and ridiculously slow once they get a bracelet on you. Pleeease do better! We need you!

Be VERY Leery & afraid if eating or drinking anything from their Café. Stopped in recently 9/29/23 to visit a family member in the hospital. While looking at their very tiny breakfast stuff saw the cook-some younger girl, making food, some type of eggs on the grill, which was very dirty, go from there to the cash register, ring out a customer & return to the grill WITHOUT changing their gloves OR washing their hands before resuming cooking those eggs. Also saw NO ONE-3-4 people- in the kitchen, could see right into it from the serving line, wearing any type of hair restraint. Thought the Health Dept said had to wear hair nets when making food in a restaurant. Least they did when I owned my restaurant (mid 90' in Wichita, Ks-things must have changed). Did see some guy in black wearing one of those tall white cook hats talking to some other guy in a white cooks shirt. The guy with the hat was all scruffy looking, cloth's all dirty. His black shirt said executive chef touch point on it. Things really must have changed if that guy is their executive chef & who ever touch point is allows him to be in public. Maybe he was just borrowing the shirt & hat. Probably one of the hospitals janitors.

Your care is good but your billing department is horrible. Was seen in January of 2022 with Covid. Received my bill, set up a payment plan and paid it off last month. Received an EOB earlier this week for the same ER visit (never mind it's now April of 2023) for a "corrected claim" and then another bill for over $1000. I called customer "service" who told me it took that long to get the claim back from my insurance company. I asked who sent in the corrected claim then and all she could was repeat that it took that long to get the claim back from my insurer. The kicker is now I have 30 days to pay or I get sent to collections. How could they bill me a year ago if they never heard back from my insurance company? Why does my new EOB say it was received March 1? Does anyone in the billing office know what they are doing? I am fuming and have had it with these people-I will go somewhere else.

A couple months ago my daughter was taken to the emergency room here to have her appendix removed. No waiting, in line like at other places no complaint. We were please with everything. Based on that experience I scheduled my hernia surgery here. Talked to them yesterday and we were all set to go. Was told to arrive at 0500 and I did. At 0630 still waiting in the lobby. Hospital didn't bother to run my insurance in the 2 weeks they had my information to see if I needed prior authorization. Sending me home to reschedule. Won't be having it here.

I accompanied a family member who asked if I would take her to Via Christi Teresa ER for very severe pain. Even though I am experienced in clinical hospital work (35 years), I am not one to gamble when I am unsure of what is happening. I have worked every floor and department, including trauma and surgery in a large hospital, and have a professional degree and previous board certification in neurology and psychiatry. I have attended many codes and traumas. The nurses and physicians that day were very helpful, kind, and informative. They covered every possible problem, and were able to assure us that it was severe pain, but not a life threatening event. They spent more than four hours checking every possible problem.....it takes time for labs, EKG, and radiology and it is appreciated that the time was given. I am so thankful for the help and kind service they provided.

Worst hospital ever. Mom was there and she fall risk the nurse let my mom go to bathroom on her own without assistance from the nurse (no belt no holding her no two nurses) the room was marked risk fall and she color gown for risk fall. The nurse had no concern of my mom health. Mom got about two away from the nurse a felled and broke her ankle. My sister was there and seen it all. The nurse lied on notes as well to the internal investigation. The nurse said she did everything right which was a lie again older sister seen it all. From that issue and other medical issue my mom has passed away. If you love yourself and family members do not take them there they will end up with more medical issue then they went there for. The hospital nor the nurse will ever own up to their mistake. They should call the hospital SATAN Teresa not st Teresa because that's all that works there and ran by. Again the hospital and the nurses lie and cannot be trusted.

I had ortho day surgery there recently. The only negative thing I can say is I had to wait 2 hours past the time scheduled for my surgery. The nurses did let me know that the doctor's previous case ran long due to unforeseen issues. It happens. The facility was clean. My doctor and every nurse who provided my care was professional, knowledgeable, and took good care of me! They communicated well to me and my family. Good people.
