Terrible. Doctor only spoke to us for five minutes, the wait was behind long, and unless your baby is dying right in front of them they will send you home with no further work up.

Father-in-law in for surgery on his head. On a SATURDAY! I was impressed by this. Surgeon went from Wesley to here for the surgery.Intrigued by the church in the middle of the hospital. Must be a good story there. The hospital is clean, friendly staff. Waiting rooms could use a coffee pot. Not all of them have one.The cafeteria smelled good. The gift shop looked well stocked. The entryway coming in stinks. Reeks of mold. After the first time through, I've held my breath until I get to the lobby or outside. Parking is an interesting thing. Good luck.

Never bring your baby here. Terrible doctors with a god complex! It's as if they have never heard of chronic conditions! Wouldn't even let me finish my sentences before cutting me off!

I have lived in Wichita my entire life. Fortunately I have avoided most medical services most of my life. My recent efforts on behalf of my gf who is deaf to deal with this institution by phone or otherwise leaves me discussted with the whole outfit. Endless waiting for someone to answer the phone, then to be transferred, dropped, etc. My gf waited over 5 weeks to see a gynocologist after seeing a PA only to be told 5 hours before the scheduled appt that it needed to be rescheduled! She is/was very worried after an abnormal CT scan and ultrasound and had anticipated finally getting to see a Dr. If we could use any physicians outside Via Christi we would do so, it appears, however, that they are quickly becomming a monoply in this city. AVOID VIA CHRISTI IF YOU CAN.

This is a review for the billing department only. I'd summarize my experience with this: for a Catholic entity, they have done a magnificent job of making your time on the phone absolute hell. When you call, you get a recording asking for your call's purpose, and then they ask for your account number. (I didn't have mine at first.) They give you an option of pressing * if you don't have one, and depending on which option you choose, it just hangs up the phone immediately. Then you get to call back and do all the prompts over again. If you do get a person, you promptly find out they can't help you with your entire bill. Just the doctor's or facility's side. And then you get to do it all over again with the other side. But then the fun's not over. If you accidentally give the facility side your doctor side invoice number they will start insisting that you have to call the doctor's number. When you try to explain that you thought they were the same invoice number and that you don't have an invoice number for them and ask them to look you up by name, they put you on hold. But it's not really hold, because you quickly realize you're at the end-of-phone-call survey. So you take their survey and they ask you to leave a message with your comments. You try to explain ALL the very basic customer service expectations they couldn't even come close to meeting and it cuts you off.And then you get to call back another time and do it all over again. So here I am, leaving a public review that I rarely (if ever) do, because it is the only place I know where to share my feedback because the other options they offered were laughable or nonexistent. The Bible has a bit to say about how to handle billing. This ain't it, and God is watching.

Worst experience ever with the ER physician who should have a panel board interview because he is so callous and arrogant and is teaching his students what not to do. Office staff was just as surprised and student nurse hopefully won't ruin career following anything he has shown. Awful treatment and following discharge orders provided approx. one week prior. Never treated or seen this behavior from someone considering themselves a professional in healthcare. I call it healthcare-less and I am afraid of having them to help save my life if I find that is my diagnosis. Unreal treatment on Thanksgiving. Who admits themselves unless in trouble. I want to go out of state for service so no one he knows has to "assist" with saving my life. I don't even know if I can be now and called me a liar several times but nurse could see everything I explained in detail. It wasn't legal council advice but the very hospital told me to come back. He just added more trauma to an awful situation. He has an Ego and gets in your face. I was not pleasantly wowed and left in tears.

this is the worse hospital in Wichita I've ever been to they decide your care of plan without involiv you. I sat and watch nurses share a video of a guy who was admitted for an overdose and he had a blowout and they were sending the videos to each other and posting to their snapchats!! I would rather die then come here again

If you are in pain. DO NOT COME HERE. I got to the hospital at 4 Am for a UTI. I was in the waiting room waiting to at least be brought to a room so I could lay down. But after an hour I couldn't hold my pee anymore, I was in the bathroom for 40 mins because I have a UTI the nurse told me that if I didn't get out of the bathroom they would get a security guard to open the door. It's currently 7 Am and I'm still waiting for I don't even know what. I'm from Texas we get our own bed and room when we go to the hospital we don't just wait in the lobby for 4 hours. I'm tired and still in pain.

Very non-professional. I Called into my pharmacy to renew my prescription from Dr. Gorantla over a week ago. I went to pick it up from the pharmacy and was told that it was denied. This morning I called the Dr's office to inquire because no one contacted me with directions as to why it was denied or what I should do next. I have seven days of medication left and I am leaving in one week and will be gone a month. It is a critical medication that I take. I spoke to Julie at the Dr's office this morning and she told me that it has been two years since they saw me and the Dr. would like for me to come in. I told her about my schedule and that it needed to happen quickly. She told me that they actually had two openings today at 1:00 and 1:30 pm. I picked the 1:00 pm appointment and thought I was all set. 30 minutes before my appointment I get a call from Virgina (assistant) at Dr Gorantla's office and she says that she is cancelling my appointment. When I inquired as to why, she said that they do not accept same day appointments and she said that I am a new patient now and it would have to be scheduled farther out. I have seen Dr Gorantla for approximately five years and she has performed surgery on me. I last saw her in 2021. Virginia continued to deny my scheduled appointment and when I told her that their performance of not calling me, the patient, about the denial was very unprofessional; she said that she will talk to Julia about not making same day appointments. I told her that she, Virginia was the one being unprofessional and Julie was trying to help the patient. If a Dr's office denies a prescription they should tell the patient or give them some direction. Virginia then laid the phone down and walked off and I heard her say, "He is just going on and saying blah, blah, blah." When she returned, I asked her about the comment she said about me and said she was talking to someone else (she lied). Virginia said that the notes on my account said that the prescription was denied initially on June 15th and then in July. I was out of town the entire month of June. It was not me that called in a refill. I wasn't in town and I phoned in the refill on July 3 at 9:43 am when I returned. She said that she will contact my primary physician to see if he will approve my needed prescription. I am a new patient to her. This is deplorable non-professional medical service from Ascension.
