First of all, the only poor reviews are from immediately after they opened... if you need perfection so you can review, maybe wait a couple of weeks...This was a wonderful experience all the way around. The service by Saki was wonderful, the food we had (there were three of us) came out hot, fresh, quickly, and correct (even with all of our special requests to our order.) We had the pleasure of meeting John, the owner, and getting to visit with him, as well as see him work alongside the rest of the staff and not just talk to people! The environment was fantastic, we didn't have to wait, the booth and dishes were all clean, the temperature wasn't freezing (unlike other restaurants in our neighborhood.) Absolutely will be back many more times!

We ordered the beignets, a side of grits, and two pick 2 meals; crab cake benedict and jambalaya, turkey sandwich and tortilla soup. The beignets came out quickly but they were hard as a rock, which was disappointing because the marmalade was so tasty! We requested they be sent back and the server tried to argue with us. From that moment the service quickly fell downhill. I had just gotten out of the hospital which was obvious as my hands were both bandaged, it was just an inopportune time to be rude. The rest of the staff was very kind and others seemed to have enjoyed their food and experience. 2 stars for seeing others enjoying their morning and for the rest of the staff being kind in passing. Also a clean environment. The food was just okay, with the poor service we will not be back.

The service was great. It wasn't very busy, and the wait people were very attentive and helpful. The food was plentiful. My daughters enjoyed theirs dishes. I ordered sausage and gravy and it was only so so. I'd been craving it, so I was disappointed. For me, however, the acoustics were very poor. The restaurant wasn't crowded, but the noise level was unacceptable. The surfaces were hard and cold, so voices bounced everywhere. I really couldn't hear my daughters's voices, so it was painful for me.

Food: 4/5 Good, very solid breakfast place. I didn't love the amount of berries in my pancakes (or the placement). The cost was bit high for what you got but I would eat there again once they get the kinks worked out. Service: 3/5 Good, though slow but they haven't been open long. Ambiance: 4/5 The music is a bit quiet and the table is clean but there are random cleaning products out and rags above condiment storage.

Great jambalaya and gumbo. Breakfast stuff looked way too heavy, which meant it was really good.

Food was good. It was a little pricey. Service was good the hostess was very chatty and it was a pleasure to have had a conversation with her. Over all ambiance of the restaurant was nice and felt like an upscale breakfast/lunch place. The coffee cups were a nice touch. The story about the young entrepreneurs from WSU opening the franchise made me want to try this location.

We live so close to this location and have finally popped in. Any place that has a gluten, friendly menuand mock tails, as a win in my book. This will be a frequent for us. Our waitress was amazing and great suggestions. The interior of the restaurant was clean. The bathrooms are beautiful.

Opening day late morning breakfast was very good portions are pretty large. Lots of shrimp, crawfish and andouille sausage in the omelette. I'll keep that in mind next time. I had them add chilis to my cheese grits.

This is one of the best hidden secrets in Wichita. I absolutely love the food, the service and the atmosphere. The restaurant is perfectly put together and the organization of the entire interior is perfect and goes with any group of people or any business lunch or breakfast. If you want a great place to eat with a 5 star treatment then I suggest you give them a shot. The owners are on site most of the time, and they have great managers that are very personable and speak to everyone that comes through the doors. The wait staff are very kind and very quick to make sure you have what you need. 5 *****'s in my book The Wichita Ks location located on Oliver st.
