Annie's Place

This place has the BEST coconut cream pie in Topeka. They are my go-to restaurant for a home cooked meatloaf dinner without the fuss of having to make one and clean it all up! If you're looking for a super yummy breakfast, try their cinnamon roll French toast. It's incredible. They also have a decent chai latte considering this isn't a "coffee house".Not everything is "the best" there. I didn't enjoy the biscuits and gravy... As a matter of fact, I took one bite of what was a VERY unappetizing plate, and couldn't continue as it was far too peppery. Even my bestie (who's kind of like "Mikey" and will eat just about anything) wouldn't eat them. We will also need to give their spinach artichoke dip another go sometime because the night we ordered it they brought out a punch bowl size container of chips that was half full with only a small ramekin of the dip... Perhaps it was just an "off" night for that.The waitresses that have served us have always been wonderful and we love this little local restaurant. We always feel welcome and our meals are usually pretty yummy... Especially that pie!

Wanted a quick bite decided to try this cozy place. The atmosphere is lowkey! Our order has consisted as a Patty Melt w Fries, Cheeseburger w Fries and Cinnamon Roll and Carrot Cake. Definitely will go back! The service was quick and fast and the waitress took our order without a paper.

We went with my son and DiL. They found this treasure upon moving here and wanted to share it with us. I am a chicken fried steak fan and was not disappointed- delicious, good sized portions. The gravy was delicious with the right amount of pepper and chunks of sausage. The BLT was small and not very filling. Overall the sandwiches were good but not great and were served with a handful of potato chips. We would definitely go back for the chicken fried steak and to try other non-sandwich items. The staff seemed very busy but helpful and kind when available. Overall it was a good experience.

Food was great and the dessert was heaven!!! Went back 2 days later to try more things. Great place for comfort food--sugar free pies was a great surprise too.

Horrible person at the bar when I went to pick up my to go order! I didn't even want to eat my food anymore. She charged me to my food I paid cash and another order in cash i sighn my receipt threw my change on the table walked away and didn't say nothing I didn't even know if I was supposed to leave or not

Another nice local Topeka gem! I have been here twice and have had the pleasure of trying both breakfast and lunch. Breakfast is great - had the veggie omelette and it was huge with hash browns. For Lunch don't pass up the Rueben and home fries. Great service!

We usually really enjoy whatever we eat at Annie's Place. Sometimes when I deviate from my "usual" I regret it because my usual is SO good and whatever I got on special didn't live up to it. My usual is the teriyaki burger with mushrooms. It is definitely among the best burgers you will find in Topeka. I love the atmosphere at Annie's and there are members I'd the wait staff who have been there for years and know their regulars really well.

The food, the service, the ambiance... If you are looking for a good home cooked meal, this is the place. From the burgers to the pies,this place is amazing for sure. It's one of Topeka's hidden gems.

Had a chance to meet a friend for breakfast at Annie's' last weekend. Had never been here before but I like to support local businesses when able. Troy (with hurt wrist) seated us and Elsa was our waitress. Good breakfast food. Very good efficient service. Elsa was very friendly! The cinnamon roll with frosting was AMAZING. Sent one to a friend to cheer him up.Very nice place. Had colorful atmosphere and patrons. Will be back when I am in Topeka.

The staff wasn't that friendly when asking about their sugar free bakery items- they seemed put out. Later was told we had to order a whole pie a day before. We are traveling and wanted it for my 101 yr old godmother. For lunch I ordered a classic BLT as stated on their menu and it came in a hamburger bun that I basically had to make myself. They brought a side of mayo that I had to put that and the lettuce and tomato on to make the sandwich. Very odd and all I could taste is the bun. . I would skip this place. Not good on any level.
