Food: 3/5 I personally didn't care for my food. The salad was good, but the main was just lackluster. I ordered the eggplant Parmesan. The eggplant was not great, it needed salt, and was also watery. I have had this dish quite a few times at various Italian restaurants and this was not the worst but it certainly could have been improved upon. The slices were stuffed with a grainy cheese, ricotta maybe, but it was clearly not a good quality. The little mounds of rolled eggplant were then smothered in sauce and covered with mozzarella cheese (also clearly not great quality) The red sauce was cloyingly sweet which coupled with the lack of salt in the eggplant and the cheese on top and inside was just a hard miss for me. My husband said his chicken Parmesan was good. I didn't care for the one bite I took of either the chicken or the fettuccine Alfredo. The sauce was hanging from the noodles in solid globules and the pasta itself was lukewarm when it arrived. The chicken was hot but was under seasoned and had the texture of rubber. He also enjoyed the bread, as did I. If only everything was like the bread...Service: 4/5 The server was very nice, that is why I gave this rating. She wasn't overly attentive but she also wasn't inattentive. The main problem as I saw it, was it was clear that I didn't care for my food but she seemed oblivious. She also charged me for a salad that came with my meal, which would have been fine but then I asked her to void the transaction and she said she did but then didn't give me any proof that it had been voided before running my card again. The whole debacle was just not great and honestly should have signaled to her that she ought to get a manager involved. We won't be going back, as the combo of my food and the issue with the check made it feel weird. Ambiance: 1/5 I take exception with a few things. In no particular order: The unfinished fabric draped and hanging from the ceiling with the selvage edges ruffling and the insulation visible between the gaps was off putting. Whoever made that design choice clearly wasn't thinking of long term cleaning. The layout of the restaurant was just weird. The entrance in front is not an entrance. I could forgive this if it was the only weird thing. If you are going to demand that I dine for no more that 1.5-2 hours and that I cannot bring a party larger than 8 on the weekends, the least you can do is have a professionally printed sign made. A handwritten sign that's falling apart and held on the desk with scotch tape, is just as trashy as the message it conveys. The issue it seems, is a the lack of effort from management that is clearly echoed by both the wait staff and the host desk. Perhaps there was a time when this restaurant was good, great even, but that time has passed and now it, like many other "Wichita Institutions" are riding on the coattails of nostalgia coupled with the good name and reputation that was made long ago. I hope that if someone reads this, you take a moment to think about how much mediocrity you are willing to accept and how much you want to pay for it. If perhaps you are looking for a memory or want to have a mostly meh lunch, there might be something here for you, but you could be equally, or perhaps better served elsewhere. At least the bread was good.

Disappointed! The food is not as good as in the past. Italian potatoes were not fresh, not properly seasoned and lukewarm. Onions and peppers serving was skimpy...not nearly enough for four sausages! My granddaughter was offered extra garlic bread in place of salad with her spaghetti...two extra pieces, not a good trade for a salad! Her spaghetti was over cooked and slimy and the least sauce was thin and watery. The waiter was very friendly and polite but never returned to refill our drinks or ask about our food. I requested to go boxes which were never brought so I had to get them myself. The price increase is out of line considering the quality of the food. This is not the Angelo's I remember from my childhood...not even close!

Ambiance? No, you walk in and its like walking into a warehouse. Theres absolutely no comfort at all. The hard wooden chairs will hurt if you have any back problems at all. I felt I had to yell just to have a conversation. I loved our waitress but even her niceness couldn't make up for the crusty cheese bread, the clumpy "Alfredo" sauce (had to ask for a cup of it because they were being skimpy). My friend felt the salad was nasty, and the pizza she ordered was burnt on the edges. We got another friend a plate of pasta and they didn't like it either. Apparently word on the street is that Angelos is nothing like it was in the old days. I will never return! Come on Wichita we need to demand better!

I've been wanting to try Angelo's for years but have just never gotten around to it, sadly. I finally made it for a late lunch the other day and it was SO GOOD. While the entree and appetizer were executed well, it was the dessert that stole my heart! I got the limoncello mascarpone cake and it had the perfect egg sponge cake with delicate mascarpone frosting. So tasty and so well done. I also bought a slice of chocolate 3 layer cake and it was amazing as well. Cream cheese frosting with ganache. For my appetizer I had garlic bread with cheese and pepperoni. It was the most delightful grilled cheese I've ever had, crispy, salty, buttery and cheesy. I asked my server what their most popular/best dish is and he recommended the manicotti, which I ordered with Italian sausage and ricotta (pictured below). It came out bubbling hot, smothered in melted mozzarella. The marinara sauce was bright red and a little sweet. My server was so kind and friendly, checked in often, and kept me updated on the progress of each item I'd ordered. I arrived at the typical break time for most servers (2pm-ish) and while he was seating me, another server asked if he was ok. He replied, "Never better" and continued to serve me with that energy, wonderful service, not one single complaint from me. I have to return now to try their pizza and tiramisu!

The food is always good. I can't eat too much of it due to the heavy sodium but it's seasoned well. The customer service is great. The wait time was better than usual on this visit which is a plus.

I ordered the deluxe pizza without pepperoni and added black olives, kalamata. This is the best pizza I have ever had in Wichita, and very comparable to very good pizza I have had in other states. All ingredients are very flavorful and the sauce is very good. Every ingredient in the deluxe pizza is just delicious. I ordered take out and had to wait longer, but it was worth it. Next time I order, I will wait to pick up 10 to 12 minutes more. Not a big deal. It was still warm after I returned home on maize road. Exceptional.I will dine in sometime in the future because I'm guessing everything on the menu is excellent. This pizza is the best in Wichita and very much as good as any other parts of the country that I found close to this..My second favorite pizza in wichita is godfathers, but angelos is now my favorite. I've tried almost every pizza restaurant in wichita. Angelos is the best, second best is godfathers, but Angelo's has extreme flavor, and ingredients are premium. I dont care if I have to wait long or what the environment of the restaurant is like because the pizza is excellent. I would wait hours for this food.I will stiil buy godfathers because they are reputable and for pricing very good, but my premium will be Angelo's.We are very fortunate that Angelo's reopened.

I ordered a large pizza with everything on it except mushrooms. I ordered it at 5 pm for a 7 pm pickup. These pizza take 30 minutes to cook. When I arrived at the restaurant the pizza had mushrooms on it. The manager was very rude. Making it sound like it was my fault. She said I could wait 30 minutes for a new pizza or she would give me my money back. Whatever happened to customer service????? She never offered me a discount or a reduced price on my next visit. Just like here it is, take it or leave it. Very, very unprofessional manager.

Came in here, because I read about this place on a foodie site on facebook. We used to go to Angelos as a family all the time on the west side. I could not wait to come in and get the cheese manicotti. Nothing was the same. Did not enjoy the caesar salad, garlic bread, or cheese manicotti. Had leftovers and took them home and they were inedible. Sorry it was not the same, because I would have loved that. The cheese in the manicotti was so dry and chalky. Not enough sauce to counter that at all. Not enough Mozzarella cheese anywhere. Also the place was loud and noisy and we sat by where they dumped the plates and it was horrible and I wondered why they did not take them somewhere else.
