Anchor Grill (AG) is on 30th and Anchor Inn is far south Main Street. Both are tied to the same original family but are operated completely separately. Anchor Grill is not bad, but if only for the atmosphere, I prefer the Inn. AG has an order-at-the-counter/ delivered to your table system. Dining room is small but well lit. Always feel the AGs food is very good, but note; doesn't come with chips... but salsa is available and very good! Really like their chalupa, I prefer beef... though it comes with a lot of beans and not that much beef. Cheese enchiladas are also very good! They are a good choice if you're on the north end of Hutch.

Food great and economical Service awesome Ambiance I like the family feel of the place not corporate fake atmosphere.Their specials change from day to day but they are always a smoking deal! My elderly father and I split a dinner he does not usually like Mexican food but this is more like home cooking that happens to be Mexican food! We eat there almost weekly.

Live in San Diego and I can say this place has better Mexican food than what I can get on the border of Mexico. The cheese enchiladas are out of this world!! They have a great happy hour early in the evening. We went during happy hour and got Jalisco beers for great price. They give you a cold mug for the beer and you can ask for some tomato juice and make an amazing tomato beer out of it which is exactly what we did. My mom got the beef tacos and said they were great!! They have a good kids menu too. My mom, grandmas, toddler and I really enjoyed our early dinner here and I highly recommend.

Being a Hutch Native I love having Anchor Grill or Anchor Inn when I come home. The Anchor Grill used to be located in the mall and recently moved to 30th and Plum. This move has been a good one from what I can tell. We stopped in for lunch and they were very busy. You order at the counter and can either take it to go or they will bring it to the table. Their salsa is so fresh, has just the right amount of spice, and we usually go through a whole bottle between four of us. I had the enchilada combo with cheese enchiladas. Their cheese enchiladas are my absolute favorite and their rice is to die for. It's super authentic and something I'd love to learn to replicate. Aaron has done a great job with this restaurant and hope they have continued success in their new location!

We walked in and asked the person working the register of the place was affiliated with the Anchor Inn. The Anchor Inn is a great place downtown. The person told us said "pretty much related to it." The food wasn't good at all. The two people working were very nice, but the cheese enchiladas were bland. Won't be back.

Always great! Great food, locally owned. If you're expecting it to be exactly like The Anchor, it's very close. Hutchinson people just expect it to be exactly the same, get real. It's great!

If I went to the Anchor Inn on the other side of town could I skip the peppered hamburger for my taco meat. Are you going to be changing this anytime soon. Is it really what the rest of your customers want. I've been so disappointed the last couple of times. I guess I'll just make my own Mexican night at home. It's a shame there's so many Mexican places in Hutchinson and none seem to make it how I like anymore.
