This place is no frills, but had more than I expected. High king size bed. Full size fridge and microwave. Flat screen TV mounted on the wall. Cute little live seat and bench. Nice shower. It was also clean. Great prices too! We booked on Priceline and got the room for $40 including tax! The only bad things were the bad water pressure and that the walls are PAPER THIN. You can hear everything your neighbors do and say. Mine decided to have the tv on all night...Definitely the best motel I have ever stayed at.

While driving from Cincinnati to Denver, we pulled off in Salina for the night. Lodging options were limited - Days Inn, La Quinta, etc. We wanted something clean and quite and were afraid we'd struck out of luck by stopping in Salina. However, while dining at the classy establishment that is IHOP, we noticed America's Best Inn and decided to check it out. Great choice! When I first walked in to inquire about the price of a room, I was struck by how clean the entry way and lobby were. It smelled fresh and crisp. We found out that the price was comparable, if not a few dollars less, than the competition. Double Score! We were issued a room on the second floor. As it was a budget hotel ($60ish with taxes for 1 night), we weren't expecting a lot of frills. The room was very basic - standard bed, pillows, dresser, etc. Not a lot of fancy decorations or colors.Again, I was struck by how CLEAN everything was! One of the cleanest bathrooms I've been in - and I travel frequently for work and have encountered some nasty hotel rooms. Felt totally comfortable in the shower, sleeping in the sheets. This hotel also offered a breakfast in the morning (TRIPLE score!). It consisted of bagels, toast, cereal, oatmeal, fruit and orange juice. Not too shabby! All in all, if you're driving cross country and looking for a reasonably priced place to stay with not a lot of frills but friendly service and clean accomodations, I highly recommend America's Best Inn Salina.
