Spencer came out to give me a quote on my roof repair, and unfortunately, it being a tile roof, his company could not take the job. But not only was Spencer very polite and professional, he went ahead and climbed up to take a look and gave me his assessment of where the leak was occurring and recommended another business. Keep in mind this was late in the day, and I'm sure he'd much rather be with family.I don't normally give out 5 stars to a business I didn't actually use, but I didn't want to lower this company's rating by giving less. If Spencer is an indication of All States Exterior, then I would think that doing business with them would have been a pleasure.

We had a bathroom in severe need of a refresh/repair/upgrade after a bad bathroom experience 9 years ago. We called around and got a tremendous proposal and bid from Megan at All States so we signed up for a new remodeling adventure. Megan kept us updated during the pre-remodel process, and finally the day came. Our guys, Jeff and Gage arrived bright and early on Monday, tore the shower down to the studs and began the process of removing an incredibly bad floor (which was the result of the previous remodel) Throughout the three days, they kept us involved in the process, gave us access to the bathroom as needed (we only have one bathroom), and cleaned up at the end of each day to minimize the impact on our daily living. Third day, they wrapped up, cleaned up, and turned us over to the flooring guy, Mike, who came in and got the floor down in about 4 hours, re-set the toilet and vanity, and wrapped up. And then we all got to have a really excellent shower in a beautiful new wetspace. We still need to throw some new paint on the walls and eventually change out the old vanity, but we're gleefully happy with our All States bathroom remodel...and the great thing is, we're no longer exposed to mold and the risk of falling into the basement.

We have had All States install windows, and recently a major siding replacement and screened in deck constructed. Jim Keeter is easy to talk to and returns calls promptly. Dallas Horn did the majority of the work and I can't say enough good about him. Sometimes when contractors communicate they sound like they are scolding or complaining about the difficulty of the job. Dallas on the other hand is very calm, matter of fact, explains everything fully, and answered all my questions. I was never anxious with him on the job. He is a self described perfectionist who is who you would want installing and constructing what you are paying a major chunk of money to have done. The painter they recommended did an excellent and thorough job. There were some delays, but nothing outside the norm in my opinion.

A year ago I had a sales lady come out and give me a bid on replacing my tub for a shower. Had knee surgery so it seemed like the right thing to do, Dhe quoted me a 14k price and it shocked me and I told her so, she then proceeded to tell me why using a lot of bs words designed to confuse me etc. Typical sales stuff, She was already late for the appointment and I had waited dinner on her, I had also been drinking wine while i waited, making italian food and as it turns out she's Italian . finally after nearly 3 hours i said I would sign the contract just to get her to leave. She finally left. A few days later I sent the company a letter telling them I was canceling my contract, Aweek or two later my letter comes back from the postoffice, seems the company moved from n west street to west kellogg. I then tried calling the company to explain but every time I called the sales lady she never answered her phone or it went to voice mail immediately, later learned this is common trick used to not take and cancellation phone calls. Finally went to the home show to track him down and found him. tried to rxpkain what happened and he became irritated and said he would call me the next week, keep in mind prior to this he was always in a meeting or busy etc. He finally called and said he had a crew ready to come out and install my shower, it was several weeks after it was supposed to be done and I explained about the letter and his reply was BS I've got the stuff here to install it! I said well that's too bad as I tried to call you and your sales lady and he said she had been sick and unable to take calls, Anyway I told him not to bother and he said he would sue me because of breech of contract! I told him go right ahead I did everything according to the law, I then told him myself and my nephew were going to do the work and he scoffed like we were unable to do it, I've done that kind of wirk on my own house for years always up to code so it was offensive for him to suggest I could not do the work! Well he hired Mike Priddle to represent him and mr Priddle is possibly the shiftiest lawyer on the planet! he specializes in getting money from people that really have no means to pay. my lawyer was not up to speed on his type of legal ethics and I lost because I had lost my letter to the company, It's since been found but after the fact, mr priddle went before a magistrate judge that was unaware of the facts if the case and doing an appeal is crazy expensive and no lawyer wants to touch it. I'm gonna be out 15 k in this snd they did nothing except hire a lawyer that give the legal profession a very bad name, IMO Never ever use this company no matter how cute the ads are! Stall tactics and delay tactics to circumvent their obligations! He even called me a liar as to how my shower got done! He was vey rude at the home show, it was because he was busy and I was an unexpected guest! They moved and didn't change the address on the contracts so who's fault was it anyway! I found the original letter while cleaning my office and his lawyer said to stop calling his client because it was harassment he threatened legal action over this too! Do business with them at your own risk!

Made an appointment to get anestimate for 2 replacement windows on a rental. Then was told 2 days later I would have to be there while measurements were taken and a sales pitch given--for 90 minutes!! Some of us have to work for a living and can't take off work! I Said to cancel the appt. Then they said how about Saturday? I said "NO" to that as well. Then 3 days later get a call wanting to confirm my Saturday appointment!! All States is installing siding on our home and leaving gaps above any flat surface!!!!! Like windows doors and the worst flashing we have ever seen. They tell you satisfaction guaranteed until you aren't satisfied and then since we have signed a contract we are screwed. You work all your life for a home and they come in and within a week they have ruined your dreams. Worst business ever!!! So sad and furious I don't know how to express it. All States should not be trusted..... Ever.

BE AWARE!! My bathroom project that should have ONLY taken a few weeks took close to a YEAR to be completed. This was our NIGHTMARE!!! Experienced 5 times water spilling into my basement by faulty installations by their so called reputable technician. Each time all they could say was "I'm sorry". Honestly how many times can you hear "I'm sorry" with the issues still unsolved or remedied. The first time we had water spilling into our basement from the tub shower being used I reached out to the technician who installed it on his phone (the same number that he called me from previously), and was told I had the wrong number. He later apologized again "I'm sorry" the next day for lying over the phone said he thought I was a telemarketer. Another issue they installed a black copper piping to the main shower which caused the water to come out brown and oily. They tried to pass it off as an issue with our water tank. We drained out water tank twice which did not solve the problem. We U Tubed it and told them what the problem was. They didn't want to correct the issue and implied that it was our issue and not theirs. The technician later said that his boss told him to use the copper piping. They finally corrected this issue.Another issue we had in the same bathroom was when filling the tub thru the water spout water would come out thru shower handle. Again they gave us an excuse this time saying it was due to the pressure of our water. We UTubed it again and told them what was causing the issue. After numerous times going back & forth they FINALLY corrected the issue and installed a larger peck. Now I have a wall over a wall in the shower. When we signed our contract our sales person Jaime told us NOT to sign off on the project until we were 100% for the payment to be processed. Our project was NOT completed nor did we authorize the payment to be processed but somehow All State managed to push the payment through.. Spoke to the owner Kris multiple of times regarding our displeasure along with issues with the entire experience that was a joke. He compared our issues with his company to an issue he had with a company he purchased his truck from. How is that our problem? It took close to a year for this to finally be completed. I will never recommend this company as they're a joke.

Don't let a few thousand dollars in bid price make your decision!!My wife and I had All States replace the windows on the north side of my house. My sales person was Chris and my installer was Jeff (best installer in the planet) This project was flawless, and exceptionally efficient. So now, 5 years later it was time to replace my south side windows. And like my Grandpa taught me I got 3 bids from "similar" companies. To make a long, sad story short, I chose a competitor of ALL STATES with "same quality of windows, lifetime warranty, one of the Top 2 window replacers in the market, because All States bid price was a few thousand dollars higher(~10%). Because the wrong size windows were ordered ( a 25/50/25 instead of the 10/80/10 that I had, I'm now having to replace ALL of my blinds/ shades....so a decisionI made to save $5,000.00 is going to wind up costing me close to $15,000.00 to replace ALL blinds on the south side of my house. The moral of the story is, 'when you find a well performing company of Integrity, stay with them. So, the prior mentioned world class installer has been moved to sales. What a visionary thing to do, because Nobody knows windows like Jeff!!On 2 overlooked, daily light basement windows that need replaced.....guess who I'm using.......All States!!Thank you Jeff and Chris for the honest quality work that you do!! I will never allow anyone else to replace a window, but All States!!Best,Mike Good
