Big thanks to Air Source Heating & Air Conditioning. HVAC maintenance may not be sexy but man, if it's done well, on time, with courtesy and expertise, it sure makes a difference. Ernesto was our tech. He called to let me know he was on his way. Then he called afterward to tell me what he did for my mom's AC. From the first phone call to the completion of service at our business Air Source Heating & cooling did an excellent job. They were courteous, knowledgably and I appreciated the time they took to explain what they were doing and why. They took the time needed and did not rush through the job. I was very unhappy with my experience with this company. I scheduled a time for a technician to come and give me a quote for my A/C unit that I figured needed to be replaced based on age and damage. When I scheduled the appointment, I was under the impression that it was going to be a free quote because the company had not discussed any type of pricing on the call. When they came out the technician collected $99 from me. After the appointment I called them because I was a little confused at the fee since I was never told there was going to be one. They apologized for the miscommunication and said they would look at refunding it. I called again a few weeks later to check in on it and the owner answered the phone. When I explained again that I was upset about not having the pricing explained to me up front, and that I would not have scheduled it had I known because other companies give free estimates, she was very rude to me. She questioned why I would assume anything was free, and when I asked about why I wasn't told before scheduling she explained that no companies discuss fees upfront and that the fee is determined on site. Overall, I understand I wasn't clear when making the appointment about what exactly I wanted, because I am not well versed in the area and don't know anything about air conditioning. But, I expected a company to guide me in the right direction in their area of expertise. Instead, I was belittled by the owner for requesting something as simple as not to be blindsided by a bill. The owner raised her voice and talked over me to explain how everything was my fault because I should have known what to ask for when I scheduled and that it wasn't their problem that I felt I didn't receive what I wanted. I would not recommend working with this company based on their poor customer service and how they hide their pricing. But, the good news is I did end up finding a company (Hanna Heating and Air) that treated me incredibly well, replaced my A/C unit, and they were about $1,000 less than what Air Source quoted.

I requested someone to come out and give a quote on duct repair. They told us it just needed clean, no one even looked under the house. They did the cleaning and still nothing, guess what it needs duct repair, but still no quote on the cost. Ridiculous.

Had them clean air conditioner and did an excellent job, much better than several previous companies. Also explained some problems I was having with ac that other companies said they didn't know what was causing those problems.
