Affordable Sprinklers

We had Affordable Sprinklers winterize our sprinkler system in November 2022. We thought they did a good job until we called them to turn the system back on in April. Turns out they could'nt get to the valve because the sleeve was missing from the champion key and mud got inside by the valve. They said they didn't do it and somebody probably stole the sleeve. We said they were the only ones that messed with our system. This company does not take responsibility for their mistakes and tries to put blame someone else. And to top it off they refused to work on it afraid they were going to get dirty. My husband and I cleared the mud and found the keyand in a matter of 15 minutes using a screwdriver and a pair of grippers. This is what this company is supposed to be doing, sprinkler repair and yet they just cower on a little mud.

For sprinkler installation, you would be hard pressed to find a better deal. Affordable and with quality parts. The reason I am only giving 2 Stars is because he was supposed to install Landscaping after the sprinklers were installed. ON 8/30/18, my sprinklers were installed. He was then to draw a plan for my landscaping. After a week, I hadn't heard from him. I texted him to remind him. He then sent me the plan. Here it is at the end of October, I have no landscaping, only excuses. He was to come out yesterday, but at the end of the day, he finally texted me and told me that he would be out today a little after 9:00. I let him know then that this should have been taken care of almost 2 months ago, and if he wasn't out tomorrow (which is today), that I would have to go with someone else. Here it is 11:00, and now word and no show.

They are truly affordable, great at communication and appointmentso, and were very helpful when I delayed getting sprinkler blowout until late in year. I highly recommend Affordable Sprinklers to anyone looking for honest company to work with.

We have had Affordable Sprinklers out to winterize our sprinklers for the last two seasons. Fall of 2018 shortly after sprinklers were winterized we noticed a large amount of water leaking from our meter out into the street. I immediately called them to have them back out to check things out. They were great when I called first thing in the morning stating they would be out the same day to check it out and get things taken care of. The day passed and I never heard from them. I called three times prior to them closing leaving a message each time and finally on my fourth attempt the next morning I got an answer. He reported it that something hadn't been twisted all the way and that someone had already been out to fix it. Water continued to leak from the meter, and at this point I was largely questioning if anyone had even actually come out since my calls had been left unanswered, there was no signs of anyone having stopped by, and the problem remained. I decided to get a second opinion from another sprinkler company in town. The gentleman was out the same day and with one look could tell me that there was a large issue that would require them to dig into the meter and also notified us that our sprinklers had not been winterized correctly. After their work was done I called back affordable sprinklers to come out and winterize our sprinkler AGAIN requesting that we not have to pay since it was not done the right way the first time. He came out and winterized for free but notified me multiple times that they would not be liable for any issues that may occur with our sprinklers as we start them up in the spring. Here we are in the spring time and we are dealing with busted pipes and having to pour more money into our sprinkler system because a job that we paid for was not done correctly. I will no longer recommend this company. We are extremely frustrated with the amount of money we have had to put towards our sprinkler system that started with a job that was not done the right way. If this company is not liable for the busted pipes we have as a result of our sprinklers not being winterized correctly I am not sure who is. Very disappointed customer.

I had Greg quote me on sprinkler install and laying sod when moving into my house in February. I accepted his bid and walked the property February 27th. He estimated the sprinkler and sod install would take a few days and ensured completion of entire job by mid-March. By March 13th, he notified me that my yard was the next job up. After 3 weeks of delays and weekly excuses (outside of a few rain days), he finally got his crew to install sprinklers on April 2/3. During that time he forgets to do a one call and cuts into the cable line. He leaves the job without testing sprinklers or walkthrough of sprinkler timers. The next week he doesn't come back and I had to call again to see when he was going to come out and finish the sod. Again I was told we were the next job up. He doesn't come back out until May 1 to start ground prep work and proceeds to change the scope of work and refuses to sod a portion of my yard, even though he installed sprinklers in the area he's now deciding to exclude sod. The entire following week comes and goes and he doesn't show up. By mid-May, I decide to notify him I'd need to get another contractor out to lay sod if he doesn't come back out. It's now been nearly 3 months since I hired him and still no grass. He doesn't give any explanation of why he wouldn't complete the job and no response when given a final warning. He never re-buries the cable line he cut and didn't finish the sump pump drain he was supposed to complete as well. Greg is completely unreliable and had no consideration for his customer. His price is competitive but irrelevant since he doesn't complete the job. Luckily I didn't pay anything in advance, so all I lost out on was time in getting my yard finished before summer. If you want reliable service, I wouldn't trust Greg with any landscaping job. Since then, I've talked to 2 different landscaping companies who've mentioned they've also received complaints from customers to come out and fix Affordable Sprinklers incomplete/botched sprinkler installs.
