I've been going to Advanced Pain Medicine for years. I've had 6 back surgeries, including a fusion that took 2 attempts. I've lived other places during my career, and I can say that Advanced Pain Medicine is top notch. I've had 40-45 lower back injections from the time I began to experience chronic lower back pain. I've had probably half of them here. The process is easy, and the results are superb. The PAs are intelligent, thorough, and pleasant. They've helped me find a mix of prescriptions that work for me. 5 stars.

My mother has COPD and is at high-risk for the Coronavirus. In order to continue receiving medication for chronic pain she is required to go to this office and let them count her pills in person. We called to see if alternative arrangements could be made due to her high-risk condition in addition to being on prednisone which makes her at even higher risk for acquiring infection. We were told the *only* option was come and sit in a waiting room full of sick people or cancel her appointment. The front desk explained they are all super healthy and it's business as usual for them. What virus?! We're fine!We asked if she could come directly in and wait in the back. No. Can we come in one of the other entrances to avoid the waiting room? Nope-- cancel your appointment and stop receiving treatment or come in and risk getting Coronavirus so we can *count your pills*. No telehealth option. No photo option. No alternative entrance. No accommodations for the safety of their patients. This is unacceptably tone deaf in the midst of a worldwide pandemic. Countless businesses and government offices are changing the rules for the safety of everyone--but clearly Advanced Pain Medicine Associates knows better and it's "business as usual" for them.

I was seeing Dr Kathy she always seems like she cared but didn't she is a fraud. As I was seeing her she was always asking me about having surgery and giving me a UA every time I seen her and then out of the blue I was told that I felt a UA so they were dropping me as a patient I have never felt a UA my entire life and what they said I fell for coincidentally was medication that my husband was taking and my daughter and of course I put them on my paperwork as relatives I feel like since I refuse to have back surgery she fudged paperwork because of it I was dropped as a patient and the dirty UA went on my record 55 years old never had a dirty UA for work or anything else I know for sure that it was a total lie in my paperwork was compromise just because I didn't want to have back surgery this facility is fraudulent I wouldn't recommend anyone to go there .

They have helped me with my pain. I wouldn't be able to do things without them. My PA always tries to make my pain livable, but I do get some relief. I would recommend advance medical pain management to my family members and friends. from the front desk, the nurse called you back and when you see the PA or the doctor, they are always polite and very caring

I had seen Dr. Parks for several years before he fused my SI joints in December of 2021. He performed several cervical ablations in that time that helped me a lot with lower neck/upper back pain. Things were great but started going downhill with Rita, the PA I had worked with retired. She was a wonderful, caring medical provider!! The next PA I dealt with, Kristin Babbin, was the total opposite.Just before, and for three months after I had to stop taking Meloxicam for the fusion to heal properly. I have arthritis throughout my body and a few joints flared up. Kristen was very unsympathetic. Through support staff mistranscribing a couple of voicemails, and Kristen's actual temper as a result, ended up causing Advanced Pain to drop me as a patient less than two months post-op. In less than ten months I started having pain again in my SI joints. Finally, my new pain doctor sent me to Kansas City to see a neurosurgeon, Dr. Rosenburg, to see if I was a candidate for a spinal cord stimulator. But Dr. Rosenburg said that since I reported less pain for about ten months before having problems again he guessed the fusions weren't solid. He asked if a pain doctor had performed the fusion. When I said yes, he had a grimaced look on his face and said he didn't like how pain doctors were doing these fusions and he was seeing lots of problems. He sent me home and ordered more imaging. Long story short, the imaging confirmed his guess that the fusions weren't solid. He said that unless he'd known that they had been fused, he sure couldn't tell they had ever been fused!!He also expanded on his frustration with pain doctors doing these fusions and it is a way for them to charge insurance companies for a "fusion" allowing them to make more money. I'm now scheduled for the 36th surgery in my life!! (born with severe scoliosis and club foot.) I've had to deal the last almost two years without pain medication due to the nightmare scenario that Kristen Babbin caused to develop!! A little over a week ago I did take a copy of the CT written report to Dr. Park's office. I asked someone to call me regarding it and a lady did call a few hours later. I expressed my concerns with all that had happened, and acknowledged that it's hard to go back in time, but wanted Dr. Parks to first know, if he hadn't realized already, that these fusions don't seem to be working out, and if he had any ideas how to make this right in some way. I haven't heard anything further. I will remove this negative review once I hear from Dr. Parks and we come to some agreement on how to resolve this issue. Perhaps he'd agree to pay the copay I will be having to pay for this redo? Time will tell if Dr. Parks cares at all about patients, or more about money.

Arrived 15 minutes prior to a 1:30 apt. Was called back for preliminary administrative actions after waiting well beyond the appointment time. Was sent back out and after about twenty minutes, learned from other patients coming in and out that you have to check back in despite not having left the facility at all. It's now 2:35 and have not been seen. No one indicated that checking back in was a requirement either. While waiting we could hear the receptionists (there are four of them) complaining about people they have called. This office is a joke and we do not recommend them.

The quality of care I received there varied greatly depending on which nurse practitioner or physician assistant I currently was assigned to. As a patient at the clinic well over 3 years, I never requested a provider change. Yet I received a provider change two times after the NP I saw when first becoming a patient there was suddenly gone after about 10 months. I received a call that at my next appointment I would start seeing X as my provider because Y was no longer there. Received a similar call over a year later, that Z would be my new provider because X was leaving. I have no clue what was behind this revolving door. After I received a random phone call one day I was told by an employee of some kind I was being dismissed, and given a completely incorrect reason. Confused, I asked questions and the employee stated she'd call back. She called back with a different reason than I was given at the 1st phone call. After over 3 years there, I never given a warning, or deviated from the signed contract. Just poof! I was gone, and they couldn't even decide why I was being dismissed. Please run away from this clinic. Be smarter than I was.

Hands down the most poorly run and managed office I have ever visited and that is saying a lot since I have had 6 surgeries in the past 7 years. My visit was very poorly handled I saw a PA and then instead of just waiting for a doctor I was told to go out to the front desk and check in again to let them know I was ready to see the doctor. The doctor was ready to see me and no one at the front desk had checked me in so I was passed by. Finally they managed to get their act together and get me back to a treatment room but by this time the doctor bypassed me a second time so I was left laying on my face for 20 minutes while the nurses ignored me like I was just a piece of the furniture and gossiped till the doctor showed up.I received a bill in the mail and have been trying to pay it for about a week now. I called and left a message twice trying to get a patient portal set up. I gave up on that and called billing today hoping to get to talk to someone and pay the bill. I once again had to leave a message where I pleaded with them to call me back and help me to pay them. No response.Tomorrow I am going to talk to an operator and refuse to quit until someone lets me pay my stinking bill. I have never had so much trouble getting someone to take my money.

I'm a nurse and I was referred here by my orthopedic surgeon after I broke my arm in a car accident. The PA didn't do her job and neither did the nurses. So I never got my prescription for pain medication because no one followed protocol for the facility. My primary care doctor ended up giving me a prescription of pain medication instead because she has a DEA number and knows how to follow protocols. I wouldn't waste my time here for pain management.
