Staff knows my order by by heart, always there to great me and friends with a smile. Even on rare occasions where they are short staff, they let us in.While my amount if my side dish varies at times, its still fine as it more than they are probably suppose to give me, as it takes up about half the plate.

My family drove to Oklahoma and needed a place to stop to eat. Don't make our mistake and keep driving.The restaurant had a lot of people and families. It was severely understaffed and the servers were so rude. Don't waste the calories on the free thin chips. The salsa wasn't bad, but why eat Mexican at a ranch-style restaurant. We waited in a cluster of customers for 10 minutes at the front. No one acknowledged any of us. When we were seated, we waited 15 minutes to have someone come to the table. An old lady said rudely, "Be patient. We have a lot of people." We said and did nothing to have her say anything. We almost got up and left. Our server was rude. We were nothing but polite. The whole ordeal until we received our food was an hour and a half or so. The food was fine. My dad liked his chicken fried steak. My taco salad with chicken wasn't horrible, but it did have WAY too much garlic. We stopped for a lunch and the restaurant was moderately busy but service very prompt. We got to talk with the waiter for a moment and he recommended the taco pockets, which were delicious. Flour tortillas filled folded & sealed then fried like traditional empanadas were delicious as was the Mexican pizza. Chips were fresh and salsa great. Mother is from El Salvador and after visiting with the waiter a bit more we can't waiit to go back! Their food is delicious, the restaurant clean and neat and the staff fantastic. They also have a good selection of gringo dishes for those with more pedestrian preferences but you'll find something to tickle your tastebuds, guaranteed.

Was not a huge fan. It was a really cool building, friendly staff and some cool live music. When you get there they ask if you want some chips and salsa and they charge for that but it's a Mexican restaurant? The salsa almost tasted like spaghetti sauce. I got a chicken tender basket, which was good. My husband ordered a burrito but then was told to order a different one because it was better and although he ate it all he told me it wasn't very good. We always passed this place while traveling. We are glad we stopped but won't make the stop again.

I was pleasantly surprised when I saw a chef salad on the menu. It was really good, very generous with the meat and cheese. The waiter was nice and efficient. They charge a small price for chips and salsa but it was good.

I had a nice plate of enchiladas here... they are not traditional (i.e. blanch fried corn tortillas, filled, and then sauced). These are the Americanized flour tortillas that are sauced and baked. Still good though. And both the service and the portions are generous.At the time of my visit you pay at the register before leaving... that might save you from waiting at the table for something that isn't going to happen.

Most Mexican foods are very good, I especially like their taco pockets, they are good and reasonably priced.I only order chicken there now as their level of beef has gone downhill and can be tough. I miss much cheese, several mexican restaurants have cut it down as prices rise so some foods can get dry. They still have okay food.

Good quality Tex-Mex and American food in an historic setting. Small town service and take-out.

Great Service--very unique atmosphere and tasty food!! What a find in the middle of Kansas! Would recommend for anyone searching for down home cooking!!!

I love this place! It has great food! It can get expensive but most small town family owned business prices have gone up in the last year! My family has been going here for years! We love Carlos the waiter, he goes out of the way to make everyone feel like he knows them! I totally recommend the chicken taco pockets. They are my favorite but the beef ones are great too! I would stop by and get some food there when u have time! Fast service! Love it!!
