The food has always been exceptional here. The ham flauta and cheese enchiladas are always my favorite. The food is always fresh and very authentic. If you have never had a jumbo taco try the King Taco which is as big as a dinner platter and will even come smothered with queso or chili con carne for eating with a fork. They also have a nice selection of house made margaritas. Try the jalapeño margarita, its spicy but not overly hot and it is not made everywhere. The staff is very friendly with a family feel in the dining area. The front entrance has a variety of authentic Mexican goods including sandals, hats and even real vanilla from Mexico. If ever driving through Newton this hidden jem is worth a stop!

Mixed feelings on this place. They have a lovely shaded patio with a water fountain, and it was perfect for our little family birthday celebration. The food is pretty mediocre Tex Mex in my opinion, so kind of lacking in flavor and freshness. I had the entomatadas enchiladas with rice and beans. Some people in our group really liked their food though. Service was okay, but a little slow. We didn't get a refill of chips and salsa until our entrees arrived. The margaritas were good however. It's probably worth coming just to sit on the patio on a nice day! You just won't be writing home about the food.

Prices on their website don't match what they are on the actual menu, much higher at the restaurant. The food was pretty bland overall and some items had an off putting taste/aftertaste, the beans in particular. The service was excellent and was the only thing that's saved this from being a horrible experience. The ambiance was good and it was clean so there's that.

Food is great! The quality is great and the price is very reasonable. I usually get the Mariachi Fajita Quesadillas and either beef or chicken are excellent. I'd also recommend the Tortilla Soup, very delicious with big chucks or peppers and chicken. The Ham Flautas are amazing, the Papa Sancho, just a ton of great options. Service has always been awesome, they have a great staff and no problems with long waits. The decor is great, lots of booths and TVs as well if you're a sports fan, not just in the bar.The Margaritas are ... meh. Not terrible but I stopped ordering them after the first couple times.

Website says Buffet $9.99, was charged $16.72 per person x 4. Showed waiter webpage advertising $9.99. Gave song and dance about website was changed and can't be corrected. Ok, fine, How about posting the price on your sign outside that says buffet Monday & Thursday, or maybe mentioning it when you ask if we are wanting the buffet, Maybe a sign on the door, or inside that says Buffet $16.72? What an odd price for a buffet, how did you come up with that? No offer to make it right. Went to pay horrendously priced bill. Man at register asks how everything was, I grunted and said not really. No response, no what was wrong, no give a darn. So yeah, terrible food. We have gone to this restaurant maybe half a dozen times in the last 17 years, each time with the hope it had improved, its been several years and we had seen or heard somewhere they had remodeled so I had high hopes. Hopes dashed. What was remodeled? Hanging up big tv's in the dining area? Just annoying. Service was fair. Food was disgusting, did not seem fresh. And price not honored or even appropriately addressed. Will not be returning.

Customer Service is non-existent here and the manager lies, doesn't honor what he promised and is an extremely poor businessman. I ordered a vegetarian chimichanga; the menu stated mushrooms were substituted for meat. Since it was called a vegetarian item, I assumed it would also have vegetables. What I got was a tortilla filled with rice. Nothing else. When I questioned it, the manager acknowledged that it should have had mushrooms. He offered to remake it or give it to me for half price. Since my husband was nearly done eating, I opted for the half price option, added some beans and salsa and ate most of it. When the bill came, he had given a 10% discount on the one item and refused to honor the 50% off he had promised. We went back and forth several times and he chose to earn this review and lose any chance of us or anyone we talk to ever coming back over $3.32. The waitress was very nice and did the best she could, considering what she had to deal with.
