A City Taxi

Omfg! These people suck! Had a reservation with them which they said they screwed up and then later got a rude from them and heard the driver give the same excuse to someone else!!!!! This guy went off about people wanting rides and we realized when he was yeling at another person that called, that he dumped a scheduled pick up for us just because we were sitting there.

Excellent experience. Picked me up on time and happily transported me and my bicycle (the competition in town refused to transport a bike). Reasonabe price. Tiny extra fee for bike. Direct and efficient driving. Friendly driver. Would use again.

I called this cab company in the wee hours of a morning because my blood sugar was dangerously high and I needed to get to the ER and it wasn't safe for me to drive myself. When we arrived at the ER the driver told me the fare and I handed him my Visa card. The company displays the Visa logo on their Yellow Pages ad, their website, and on the outside of the cab. The driver called his dispatcher to process my payment and informed me there would be a fee of $10 to use my Visa card. Nowhere is this fee displayed outside or inside the cab, their ad in YP or their website. I balked at this fee since there was no mention of it. The dispatcher told the driver he needed to speak to me. Wade, the dispatcher, told me he would have the driver take me to an ATM a few miles away so I could withdraw the money to pay the fare instead so I didn't have to pay the fee. I told Wade that I was having health problems and needed to get inside the ER, not go for a longer ride. Wade said the $10 fee was because Visa charges them a fee to process the fare. I told Wade his bad business decision was not my fault and I refused to pay the fee. Wade got mad and told me not to tell him how to run his business then made a veiled threat about the police if I refused to pay. I told him that I would pay the fare but the $10 fee was extortion. So I had to pay the fee since I didn't want to risk more time and jeopardize my health further due to Wade blaming and charging a customer for his poor business acumen. I told Wade I would contest the fee and he didn't care.Do yourself the biggest favor you can and never, ever use this company. The mini-van was filthy inside and the door could hardly be closed except with maximum effort. I was finally able to get the passenger door closed but it didn't sound completely closed as I could hear the wind and road noise. The driver kept his attention divided between driving and a conversation with another driver. Granted, my ride was about 2:30 AM and they were probably bored but their behavior was not professional or safe. Combined with the extortion I was subjected to for using my Visa card and along with the shoddy equipment and the unsafe driving, I recommend you walk or thumb before using A City Taxi.
