I love this place. I want to stay for longer. Staff is excellent. Our room (one bedroom suite) is nicer than several apartments I've lived in. There is a full kitchen and Jack and Jill style bathroom. Pool area is absolutely charming. Including floats & noodles etc. There is an enclosed BBQ area with a pergola right by the pool. (That's where photo is taken from). Sure, you can come & stay one night, but this is more like a home/condo perfect for extended stays. It is an older property and there are signs of age in several exterior places. If you're picky and that matters to you, maybe this isn't your place. But, the rooms, lobby & pool area are great. Staff is great. My 5 stars are based on my enjoyment and experience. Like I said, I want to stay longer. Oh, and location. There is a grocery store right at the entrance, so you can easily enjoy your kitchen as much as you like. Several restaurants are nearby, too. No breakfast offered during our stay and spa closed due to COVID. But, that's for guest safety, so I respect that. I really needed a vacation, but had to come to Wichita for several reasons. I would come back just to stay here. Feels like a real vacation. Everything considered, excellent place!Update: we did stay an extra day just to relax & enjoy. Bonus points.

This hotel has been our favorite stop in Wichita for several years. One of our grandsons is a Heartspring School resident. Tallgrass kindly accommodates parents/grandparents at a special rate when they come to visit their kiddos. This morning, my wife and I enjoyed an above average hot breakfast provided by the hotel. This was a very pleasant upgrade and a surprise over past visits. The hotel's general manager is directly responsible for this improvement. He is to be congratulated on this decision and encouraged to continue it. The lady, Dawn, in charge of preparing/serving breakfast is very pleasant and outgoing. She should be praised for all her efforts. If you are staying in Wichita, I highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed here numerous times during my Yelp absence. Really like this place. Staff is very accommodating and friendly. Parking is convenient. Buildings have 2 floors and no elevator (in case you needed one, just wanted to advise). The stairs to the room could use some TLC (absolutely navigable though) so please be careful. The breakfast is edible, but significantly limited compared with other establishments. The evening reception is always fun! The pool is nice and always friendly guests out there. The rooms are starting to show their age and really need a complete re-do. They didn't have a room available for the entire weekend so we stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn for 2 nights. Although I don't care for the Garden Inn, their modern rooms made the comparison much more stark.

Rooms are nice. The morning breakfast works in terms of giving you the food to go out and do the things during the day. The room layout is a little confusing especially at night which has its ups and downs, but overall this was a nice place to stay for a few nights while in Wichita.

Have stayed here multiple times. Great home away from home. The 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom both have a full kitchen. Clean rooms, more like an apartment than hotel room. Helpful, friendly staff.

The staff was awesome, the rooms are big and VERY clean. I was shocked at the service and the breakfast was very good! I was there for three days on business, and enjoyed their Thursday BBQ by the pool.

I read the other reviews listed here and my review is going to be at the other end of the spectrum. NO! I will never stay here. We had made a reservation to stay here for about a week. We arrived, checked in and proceeded to the building our room was in. My first impression was . The parking spaces were dirty and there was a beat up vehicle parked there with a flat tire. We decided to check out the room before unloaded our things. As we walked up to the building and up he stairs we noticed heavily rusted stairs and crumbling concrete. Upon unlocking the door we had to slam our body up against the door to open it. Inside, the furnishings were very old and the upholstery on the chair and couch were soiled. The lampshades were cracked the fixtures were yellowed and it was overall just yucky. We made a quick return to the office to get a refund and booked elsewhere. I don't know about any of the other rooms and not sure where the pictures posted were taken but they certainly weren't taken in the room we booked. This place needs a major overhaul.

Stayed here as part of a wedding party (my fiancee the maid of honor and me the best man) in April, while the inn and rooms were ok the night staff was completely 100% a joke and disrespectful. My fiancee and I went to check in towards the end of the wedding (about 10PM) where the doors were locked so you had to ring a bell to be let in. After about 10 min of ringing the bell I choose to finally just call the hotel, at this point someone finally appears from the back (likely sleeping or who knows what on the job). We finally begin the check in process which at this point I'm irritated so I call out the employee on staff about either ignoring the bell or sleeping on the job, he immediately becomes greatly defensive and chooses to argue with me saying we waited no longer than 2 min. Next this individual told me he would not check me in and was going to cancel my reservation. I requested to speak to his manager to which he told me he would not bother his manager at that time of night for me. The employee then told me to leave or he would call the cops. I have been an a member of the affiliated country club most of my and I am greatly disappointed in this extremely poor establishment. I'm happy to be contacted by a member of management who actually cares unlike the ones I have spoken to thus far, my email is [email protected]
