I'm a frequent visitor to my local wholesome fresh, mainly for their delicious smoothies, diverse snack options, and the enticing food bar. Their smoothies are consistently outstanding, the snack selection is unparalleled, and the food bar offerings are usually quite flavorful, a bit on the pricey side. However, my most recent visit left me with mixed feelings. I got a piece of fish along with a small portion of beets, and to my surprise, the total bill amounted to $10.14. While the quality at this place never fails to impress, I must admit that it can become rather expensive when you opt for a lunchtime visit.

Conveniently located near Harvard -a pretty well stocked little grocery store , with a small but adequate buffet for when you are in a hurry or don't want cook. Food: 3/5 Some cold salads. Also has hot quick foods, veggies, and a couple of meat entrees-many heavy on the spicy side -about $14.00'per pound. Only a few places to sit and eat, -some are at a counter by the window. Grocery store part also has a deli and there are wines and beer choices. Staff3/5 Employees not particularly pleasant or helpful. Location :4/5 near Harvard m. Minimal parking. Facility: 3/5 Old but preserved, /crowded, but well stocked.

This store has everything you would want. There is a food bar that has a wide selection. There is a deli, wine and sushi. The parking is limited do to it's location by there is some street parking. It is located right near Harvard square. The staff was friendly. Well worth going to.

This is an upscale market/deli in Harvard Square. It's a competitor with Cardullo's which is also in the Square, but Wholesome Fresh specializes more in Korean/Asian items whereas Cardullo's specializes more in Italian/European items. Between the two of them, you're pretty well covered in Harvard Square in terms of gourmet and import products. It's worth noting that Wholesome Fresh does carry many British/Swiss/European imports and not just Korean/Asian. However, it's also worth noting that Wholesome Fresh is NOT open 24 hours anymore. They open at 8:00 am and close at 10:00 pm which I will provide photographic proof of.

Specialty grocery plus deli a la Cardullo's, with a bonus hot and cold bar, ramen station, sushi and build-your-own poke bowls!Ten bucks gets you the latter, a filling feast of nearly unlimited veg, a single protein (including cooked chicken?), a sauce and regional accoutrement like Benito fish flake, masago, edamame and roasted seaweed over a base of rice, greens or zoodles! What a literal and figurative mouthful!Everything was fresh and clean, crunchy, crisp and all that jazz. The sauce sesame shoyu was a bit mild, and the whole bowl could have benefited from a little richness, but as far as a turnkey salads with a hearty helping of pink tuna, this corner store on steroids gives good poke!

More like 3 or 3.5 stars. Okay, I have nothing against this place... except that it is too damn pricey. The location is prime, customer service is excellent, and the selection is fantastic. I simply cannot afford it. For example, a single banana is $1. The Pacific brand boxed soup is $5.99, I think? While I was making my way through the store, I almost thought I was living in NYC again. Just keep in mind that you are paying for its Harvard Square rent and the convenience. The hot/cold food bar does seem to have a good value, though. There are some other more affordable grocery store options within a 1-mile radius. Unfortunately, I don't think I will be a frequent customer to Wholesome Fresh but will stop by from time to time.

Absolutely amazing hot bar with fresh and tasty dishes of great quality. I saw 3 types of pasta, fried chicken tenders, grilled chicken, fried calamari, 3 tofu dishes, a good salad bar, fish and more.If I could eat here everyday, I would, but the prices are just too high! I filled up a little container thinking it would be just a couple bucks but it ended up being close to $10.I have not tried their ramen or sushi options but they look great!

Love their selection of fresh food and sushi! They have some great market finds as well, the food is just a bit pricier than you'd expect, especially the fresh food.
