Whites Fish Hot Chicken & Bar-B-Que

We had the whiting and cod sandwiches and hot chicken. We got more whiting filets than cod but I prefer cod more. The whiting was a bit more fishy. But they were still very good.And the best was the chicken. We had medium spiciness because we were worried it would be too spicy. It was spicy and delicious but I think we can definitely handle a bit more spicy.All in all, they were very good. Please update the menu prices. We either got cheated or they had not updated the menu board for sometime :)

Nashville is known for many good food items including hot (spicy) fried fish and fried chicken. I would've liked to 5 star this place, but while the food was very good, the pricing was either deceptive or I was cheated.We ordered 2 fish sandwiches (Whiting and catfish), and 1 dark order chicken. The total order per the menu board should've come to about $19, but somehow we were charged $24. A sign on the board mentioned increased prices due to the pandemic, but they should just update the menu. Not knowing the tax rate in TN, we didn't complain.Very disappointed since the food was good, and there was plenty of fish in each sandwich. FYI that the Whiting tasted a little "fishy" so catfish or tilapia would be better choices. The chicken was 2 smallish leg/thigh quarters. We ordered the medium spicy but if you like spicy food, go for the hot. This place is the quintessential roadside carryout dive on a very busy fast highway. Check your bill before driving off.

Waited an hour for inedible food. Chicken wings were way over cooked. As well as had a crust of seasoning that was about a half inch thick.. ordered medium but got a verry hot flavor and again , had a crust of it. Total waste of time

Going through a horrible life situation ...looking so forward to some good hot chicken .came. ordered my chicken gave them my money and was told to wait 40 minutes and when I came back they are f"n closed ...really!!!!!

Don't waste your time. I drive all the way to this place at 5pm based on the information on maps and wasted my time - they were closed! I called several times prior to going but no one answered and the voicemail was full.They are closed down!

We have been trying to come here for awhile now but with our work schedule and their hours we keep missing them since they close at 7 and Sundays and Mondays. But our meal was FYE!!!! The hot fish we got it medium was cooked perfect with the right amount of spice. The sides was also good! And they gave us alot of fish, enough to eat again later but I'll make my own spaghetti this time. I'll have to go back and try the wings. Good price and lots of food. No complaints here.

Great place for no nonsense great food. The hot chicken (I got the medium) has plenty of spice but also plenty of flavor. And their pork shoulder sandwich is tasty too. Will definitely be back.

I'm in Nashville for a conference and touring around North Nashville. My colleague pointed me to Whites second location on the Clarksville Rd and Manchester. I decided to try the catfish sandwich. It was so big, I had to eat it in parts for $6.00. It's a walk up place and if you're not used to humid heat, you may want to take it with you. I asked Diane for the secret for her batter and corn meal crust. Mum was the word!

I have been going to get Fish here since they opened but today it was a disaster I know we have to change things in the mist of COVID 19 but how do you short a fish sandwich when you purchase 3 and you get 2 and a half so many small businesses would love loyal customers Want be coming back

If you are white do not come here. They will take your money and serve 18 people in front of you before even putting your order in.
