I visited this restaurant for dinner with a high-ranking colleague from work while we were at a conference. It is just across the street from the Hyatt Regency Atlanta in downtown and offers views of Peachtree St. NW through large windows. The interior is a bit dim, though, so don't plan on doing much reading if you visit after sunset. There also was a loud group at the bar not far from our table, so it was a little hard to talk until they left.Foodwise, I tried a couple of the appetizers (Snacks, as they were called): Pork Belly ($17) and the Tuna Crudo ($28). The pork belly was served with small, crunchy florets of cauliflower that were bright yellow and some crunchy little pink things that I couldn't quite place. And the crudo was served with taro chips. While both were pretty good, they seemed to be missing a bit of umami that I was expecting in these dishes. I won't say I was disappointed necessarily. More surprised. We also had asked if they had any mocktails and the server said they could make one that included ginger beer and lavender. It basically tasted like ginger ale. This one was a bit disappointing.Overall, I wouldn't say it was a bad experience. But I probably wouldn't return by choice.

About a 1-1.5: We stopped by White Oak, as it was located near where we were staying - the concierge at the hotel stated that this place was great for HH and their food shareables were delicious. It took a moment for us to be noticed and seated - while being led to our table, I noticed there was a sewage-like smell in the restaurant, which was super unpleasant. Also, the place didn't seem to be well-ventilated nor was there any air on, considering it was a hot/muggy day.We had the Waldorf, which was listed under one of their main entrees. Unfortunately, this was not what a Waldorf salad was at all, as it came out in a chicken salad-like form - definitely not what we expected. The menu stated it was prepared with smoked chicken, celery root, honey crisp apples, candied walnuts, and champagne grapes; you could only taste the smoked chicken, and the dish was just super dry and was not tasty at all.We should have stopped there, but decided to share a dessert - the Blueberry Zeppole with a Grand Marnier compote - the zeppoles were undercooked, in which the interior was just raw dough. The compote, which sounded delicious, had no flavor to it, and didn't add anything to the dish. Our server was nice, but we weren't checked-in throughout our dining experience.Definitely not a place worth stopping by; I wasn't surprise that we were literally the only ones dining in, as this place was just a big disappointment.+bad odor in the restaurant+does not serve a real Waldorf salad+raw desserts+inattentive service

Perhaps this is a weekday/business lunch kind of place only but our experience did not match up to the reviews at all. We had 7pm reservations for Saturday and there were only 3 or so tables in there. Right off the bat we were concerned but saw a sign about remodeling so we thought maybe they recently remodeled but after asking our server he said no, some part of the building had been remodeled but not them. Our server was really nice and the reviews were good, so we stayed. 2 of us got shrimp and grits and one got fried chicken...they all came out VERY quickly, as in less than 10 minutes 2 out of 3 dishes were served lukewarm. Mine was less than lukewarm so I sent it back - when it came out it was good but it should've been that way from the start. No manager came by to check on us either. Our server is the only reason for the 3rd start- otherwise this would've been 2 star experience.

White Oak Kitchen & Cocktails is located at the corner of Peachtree and Baker streets in downtown Atlanta. I've frequented this spot numerous times, especially when my main office was in Atlanta. It was conveniently located right across the street. They offer southern inspired cuisine. I love their salads. I had the Niçoise salad. The tuna was fantastic! Also, I had to get a side of fries. Crispy and delicious. The restaurant is huge, accommodating over 300 guests and featuring three different dining rooms. Inside, the décor incorporates white oak and repurposed wood, hence the name. The atmosphere is airy and farm house rustic. They have three signature chandeliers made of sugar maple from the Jack Daniels Distillery.

Certainly better than the average review. Servers were attentive, accurate order deliver and fast (almost too fast).Charcuterie is a good size and variety, Moonshine margarita has a bite and the International wine list is impressive.Catch of the day was a Corvina, outstanding. Cooked perfectly. Try the green balls (brussels) and the deserts were yummy.

I chose to eat here because it was very close to the Hyatt Regency Atlanta where I was staying and I overheard some folks in the lobby talking about how great the food was there. It's a very clean place with nice lighting and decor. The bartender, Shannon, did a great job and was quick to make sure I always had everything I needed for an excellent meal. I ordered the pictured Wagyu Bavette that came with a choice of fries or salad. I chose the salad and I'd have to say, their champagne vinaigrette was amazing! Since I'm here all week, I'd imagine I'll be back again soon!

Imagine you have been traveling all day and you want to find a good dinner. When you tell the waiter you want something healthy but substantial they recommend a salad. Trusting that they know their menu best you are skeptical but go with it. Then the plate arrives and it definitely underwhelms in terms of expectation of proportion and price of dish. This was my experience with the food. While tasty, it didn't hit the target. The staff was as great as could be however I didn't even try another item -opted to find food somewhere else within walking distance instead so that I could satisfy my hunger.

Recommended by several locals this is across the street from the Hyatt. Reservations strongly recommended. Our party of 7 enjoyed the dinner very much. A variety of beverages. No starters but the entree's were delicious and the desserts even better and very rich. Clean, neat, upscale. Very popular restaurant. Fast service and a helpful server.

Not terribly impressed. I ordered Prosecco which was nice but for my entree, they were out of mushroom flatbread at 5 pm. How is a restaurant out of mushroom flatbread? So I ordered the smoked salmon which was pretty good but a tiny portion for the price. Atmosphere was open and nice. The server was knowledgeable. Would I return? Perhaps. But nothing is drawing me back.

I love the large windows and the location of the place. It's definitely giving southern chic. The servers are all southern hipster chic. All very kind and knowledgeable of the menu. The food is really good! However, some things we had seemed to be over complicated. I love southern food, and elaborate take on it. The fish, fried green tomatoes, and octopus were all delicious. However some things mind have been better simplified or closer to their roots like the short rib and collard greens.
