Hands down the best broasted chicken you will ever have! The service is great & the owners care a lot about the success of the bar. All the staff are genuinely wonderful humans. The bar top was brought over from the east coast by train to my knowledge & add to the beautiful ambiance of the place. Treat this place & the staff with love & respect for all their hard work to keep this gem alive

Love this place! The fish and chips are some of the best around I think. Or it might be that their homemade tarter sauce makes it so good. Has an old wood bar from the early 1900s. Good prices on drinks. Easy parking right and front and a lot of room here. Can play pool, watch sports or go outside and eat/drink when it's nice. Only thing that you have to do is go to the bar whenever you want a drink or food. No servers, waitresses or waiters. Cool bar and I will come back whenever I am in town.

The ambiance is that of a bar in the old west. In fact, the bar folks sit at looks like it came from the Bird Cage Theater in Tombstone Arizona circa 1881Additionally, there are a good deal of regulars here that give an added Cheers TV show vibe to the place. The service is good and staff are friendy. The food is good considering it's a bar and the prices are status quo for the current inflated economy The only real down side is that beer selections are limited. All things considered a decent spot to come in for a cold one

From the jump a friendly bar, with a great atmosphere, that happens to serve food. Food is nothing fancy or unique but it's solid. History of the building is worth the stop. Def recommend.

Fish & jojos were super tasty. Wish they had burger options! Nice atmosphere. Cool place inside with the decor and it is a nice space. My g&t was priced right at $5. Good option if you're coming off the mtn and not looking to spend ski resort prices on food. All in all 60 bucks for 2 meals with 2 good drinks a piece. The bartenders are pretty friendly!

If you are looking for a friendly bar that makes you feel like home avoid this place at all costs. Save yourself some time and money and don't bother. If you are skiing grab a sandwich at the highway deli and move on.

Everyone in Sky Valley can tell you about the broasted chicken. Unfortunately they were out of it when I went in for the first time. However, that does give me an excuse to return to Sky.NOT-SO-HISTORIC BUILDING: The absolute bummer about this place is that the original bar built in 1897 burned down in 2012 in a case of arson that was suspected to be a cover up for an ATM machine break in. In the years since then, the owners put together another space filled with antique relics and a beautiful bar that once served patrons in a Philadelphia hotel. The end result of the rebuild is convincing in conveying an old time bar. It's a job well done.PATIO: I have to make a mention of their patio. It's on the west side of the building. The adjacent lot is a grass lawn that separates the bar from the historical Skykomish Hotel that was built in 1907. This is a cool feature as you're provided a bit of an open view of the skyline to the south and west. We caught an incredible sunset during our visit.VIBE As with a lot of bars along Hwy 2, it sees a lot of patrons who stop to visit going to and from Stevens Pass. We were lucky enough to catch the bar without an influx of outsiders. The locals were kind to us. The bartender was pretty cool. I'm inclined to think that the negative reviews come from entitled pricks who get annoyed when people aren't kissing their arse. The folks of this town were certainly good to us.FOOD: The food was damn good. It is definitely worth the nice drive out. The chicken sandwich. They make a Cajun mayo and tartar sauce. That mayo was very good. The steak cut fries were a highlight and came with the skins.WINGS: Though they don't make their own sauces, their selection of flavors are good quality. The wings came with plenty of meat. I was able to get a blend of lemon pepper and buffalo sauce. It was pretty darn good. I would definitely go back and try their other options.DRINK: They have a full bar. They have a good selection of commercial and microbrews. We will definitely be back for the broasted chicken and the rest of the menu. Updates coming soon...

Wow, hard pass.Paid 35 bucks for one beer, a chili dog, and a chopped chicken salad. Upon entering the bartender immediately warns that food can be an hour wait. To which I said alright... However when the food comes out it's a microwaved hot dog with chili poured all over it and some raw white chopped onions. Then as for the chicken salad, the chicken was absolutely uneditable and was hard, stale, appeared to be microwaved, refrigerated then remicrowaved. The lettuce was clean and fresh and the veggies were good but come on, 1 hour for this? I won't be returning here unless it's for a quick brew. Oh and as for the beer, enjoy your plastic cup.
