I got the shrimp po'boy and it was worth the trek over to Westlake Park where the food truck is parked on Fridays. The other locations they frequent (as posted on their website) aren't convenient for me so I had been waiting to try their food for a while and I will definitely be revisiting! The shrimp was well-breaded and sizable, and there were a good amount in the sandwich. The sandwich is simple, fresh, and delicious.

Love their sandwiches. We catered through Where Ya At Matt for our company lunch. They arrived on time and started to make sandwiches for our employees. Loved the quickness of their service and the beignets are amazing! Would highly recommend going with them again.

Shrimp po boy. Slice of king cake. Today's Twelfth Night. Chuck's Hop Shop just a mile away. Friday night's standard scheduled stop for the truck. My Lord, am I so happy. A bit of home in this lonely pnw town.

Thanks to Field To Table for introducing us to another great local establishment, Where Ya At Matt is a great find. The name is really befitting as you have to check FB/IG to identify the location and operating hours. Once you've located the truck don't let the line discourage your wait as the service is efficient and wait time is minimal.Huge kudos for offering vegetarian options, especially the red beans and rice (it's nearly impossible to find vegetarian Cajun style anything and especially the red beans and rice dish.) My husband really enjoyed his shrimp poboy and shrimp/grits. The beignets are the REAL deal, a must order to enjoy with a great cup of coffee. We will definitely return, and highly recommend!!

If you're a fan of New Orleans style food, this is the place. If you aren't, maybe go elsewhere. I was in Pioneer square, saw the food trucks and decided on Matt's. Apparently I don't like New Orleans style food. The hot sauce selection was super wide and impressive, especially for a food truck, and the shrimp grits were okay, but the oyster Po Boy wasn't up my alley. Service was nice though, and I'd recommend going to Pioneer Square when he's parked there with the other trucks and buskers. Nice staff though, wish em the best.

Another stellar meal from Where Ya At Matt! I tried the fried chicken po boy and really liked it! Enjoyed how the chicken was moist and the flavors complimented each other. Think I found a good combination with the shrimp and gritz with the jambalaya (have to give props to my Dad for that idea). Decided to try a slice of pecan pie (brown sugar was a nice addition) and the king cake was nice, not too sugary but light and airy. Great work Matt, I'll be coming back to try more of your delicious food!

Overall, I give Where Ya At Matt a total of 3.5 stars. Their moving food truck came to Ounces in West Seattle one of these past weekdays (about a month ago). Tip: Definitely check the Facebook schedule or website frequently to find out what date and location they'll be at. I tried a couple of times but missed them. When my friend and I did get a chance to eat, we ordered the Oyster poboy sandwich. Taste wise, it was pretty good for what it was. The sandwich cost about $16-$17 each, which was a bit pricey for the medium size. The oysters were small but fresh, with a light breading that made the fry delicate. As I reflect, the breading was a little chalky (not necessarily in a good or bad way). It made it a little dry but maybe that's what it was going for considering oysters can be messy to fry. The flavor of the sandwich was pretty subtle but I did really appreciate good that the oyster wasn't overtly seasoned where I couldn't recognize it for what it was. However, I'm not sure if I would specifically seek or crave the oyster poboy from Where Ya At Matt again, but I wouldn't mind trying some of their other offerings, specifically their shrimp poboys or shrimp & grits.

It had been many years since I last had the fried chicken po boy here. The last time was when they were at the Occidental Square lunch time food truck offerings. It was delicious every time Ihad it. With a random craving I stalked the truck and made my way to it. I ordered a fried chicken po boy and small shrimp n grits, for $28 total.Unfortunately this was a complete miss. I had a feeling that going when the truck first opened might be a bad idea as I always worry about getting yesterday's leftovers. 'I'm not sure if that happened but this sandwich was not edible, and nothing like the sandwich I used to love. The chicken was not crispy, in fact, it was soggy, so soggy that I could not eat it. It's like it was fried and then kept in a lidded container where the condensation made it soggy. I took a couple of bites and threw this $15 sandwich away. I absolutely do but feel good about wasting my money. The shrimp and grits were as good as I remembered and I ate it all.

Oh no, despite so much love, I did not love most of my food from WYAM! Of course the hype has me doubting myself. It is possible that I just ordered wrong. I ordered the pork po' boy, and though I was told it was shredded pork when I asked, it was in fact chewy slices of pork inside. The slaw was nice, but the pork itself was not pleasant to me. The collared greens--a special--were too sweet, and the shrimp and grits were greasy. The rice and beans tasted okay, so I filled up on those.I did however love the hot and fluffy beignets. Excellent, and not something you find everywhere! I also want to note that WYAM is run well! The line at the truck moved briskly, and that the gentleman taking the orders was both kind and efficient. WYAM also updates and communicates their locations via social media clearly, and that's helpful for a food truck! Don't be discouraged by a line, and give it a try--you might like it better than me.

The sandwich is good but what really upset me is the fact the guy automatically added a 20% tip without consulting me. Like is 20% tip automatically added now and days. The sandwich is already like $16 by itself but come on.
