What De Health Thai

The Kaow Ka Pow with beef was unexpectedly delicious! We also enjoyed the tofu lard salad, simple but so flavorful. The pineapple fried rice was just okay , could be because we had no spice at all on that one.Service was really slow, which was fine at first while we enjoyed the food and company. But after I walked the card over to the front to pay meaning I wanted to leave they took forever. I also never got a refill on my water.The restaurant itself is very cute since the whole wall opens up the outside, great for group settings or just a nice dinner / lunch.

I first walked up to the front of the restaurant. I waited for a little while before somebody finally noticed me from the back of the restaurant, after which I proceeded to signal my party number (1) and I was gestured to a seat (not lead). No signs indicated self-seating, so I was a bit confused.I took my seat and was promptly given a menu, and ordered my drink and food (at the same time) shortly after. The place is super cute- open to one side, facing the street, with doors on another side and the register opposite to the street. The aesthetic is very nice. My carbonated beverage came out flat, but my food (Pad came out quickly and steaming hot- not too hot to eat, but clearly fresh and warm. It was delicious, with the mixture of vegetables and their slight bitterness cutting through the sweet sauce of the noodles perfectly. The mock duck was over-fried, but provided nice texture. I ordered a spice level of 2 out of 10, and I got a spice level of 2 out of 10.I was not checked on more than once during my dining, which was odd due to the low amount of parties present, but I didn't think much of it. The servers were very kind and very quickly brought out the check when I asked for it. With a wonderful, exposed atmosphere and great food, I will be ordering again.

By far the best meal I had on a recent trip to San Diego. I love to eat. I love well prepared, delicious and real food. What De health was recommended by a friend with similar proclivities. It did not disappoint. The mussaman curry was maybe the best I've had outside Thailand, rich with big chunks of tender beef and plenty of veggies. Wow! My kids wolfed down chicken satay like they hadn't eaten in a week (rather than two hours ago).The restaurant is peaceful and beautiful. They have specific kids plates and tableware. The menu is clearly marked with vegan and gluten free options. Service was prompt and friendly. I enjoyed the entire experience even with two little kids. Usually eating out with kids is not so great. This was a win and then some.

First time here! Such a cute spot in a great neighborhood. Parking is hit or miss tbh. They were pretty busy when my friend and I arrived. You have to go up to the counter to be seated. The place has a fun aesthetic and it's well-light naturally due to the Large open windows/doors. It took us awhile to have someone come take our order and my friend had to flag a server down but turns out they were understaffed and only one server that evening (no big deal). My friend and I ordered the spring rolls and we each got pad Thai. I love how you can order whatever meat you'd like for your pad Thai. I've never seen that before! Normally I would get chicken or shrimp but was feeling salmon that evening. My friend is vegetarian so she got tofu. We loved our meals and had enough leftover to take home the next day. The salmon was perfectly cooked and the noodles had great flavor. The staff is also friendly. Hopefully they can hire more servers or maybe it was just an off night but overall, great place and I look forward to coming back!

This place is beautiful! I love that they keep the doors open to let the fresh air and light in. I was in a bit of a rush and the employee was so kind and helpful and got it out super fast! I ordered the pad thai with chicken and it was really tasty. The worker warned me about the spice level so she gave me a 3/10. I definitely wish I got a 5, next time I definitely will. I'd love to come back and eat inside.

I love this place, I usually get the chicken larb and red snapper with a glass of Chardonnay. The stay is friends, it's incredible cute and clean with quick service and very fresh ingredients. Best Thai food in San Diego imo. A must try.

Zucchini Pad Thai was BOMB and the service was great! Good prices as well, especially for a really healthy restaurant :]

Food was a little pricey for the amount.I got a Pad Thai with tofu and veggies for $20 which I thought was a little steeper than I'm used to. I will say they gave me a lot of veggies but not too much noodle. The bottom of the dish was drowning in liquid which isn't my preference. I do like my pad thai a little on the drier side.A solid option if you're close to the Mission Hills area perhaps but I wouldn't go out of my way to go again.

Environment: filled with greenery and very cute. Has a parking lot attached to it but it is usual full. Ample street parking on side streetsFood: amazing all around! We got their Cheesy Stuffed (cream cheese wontons), red curry with fried tofu, drunken noodles with beef, and mango mochi ice cream. Service: we were seated quickly and they also take reservations via google or phone. We did not have to wait for more than 10-15 mins for our food. Staff are friendly. I have been here numerous times and I have loved it each time :)

First time here-- fantastic. Classic Thai dishes with good portions and tasting healthy-- the food lives up to the restaurant name. Had the ginger chicken salad & pad thai. Salad was fresh with the lettuce wraps. Noodles weren't greasy, which can be common in stir fry. Would come again. Also speedy service. Ambiance was relaxed, chic with greenery-- great date spot.
