Great selection of locally brewed beer, clean and friendly, good location for ballpark

Keeping it simple. Great atmosphere. Beer and food was solid. Parking, not sure as was here for the Padres game and parked elsewhere. Had an issue where we ordered, and after 20 mins we did not receive our drinks or food. The bartender apologized, then we got our order. From what I saw, this happened to many other patrons. They stated they were short staffed, but its a Padre game. Other than that, good ambiance

Stumbled upon this place after the Padres game, so decided to grab a quick pint. A very interesting place to say the least. The beer list had a lot of variety (we tried the Seal Cove) and there is a pool table with lots of sofas in that room and a single golf themed arcade game near the bar. The bar area and music being blasted reminded me of a new wave, techno club. Not sure what type of crowd they are trying to attract, but it was pretty dead after the game. Getting nipped by a little yapper dog that was jumping up on people as they ordered beers and a sign trying to entice positive Yelp ratings by offering a discount on your tab (if you showed them your rating) really turned me off. One beer (which wasn't that bad) and we headed out.

They ignored our party completely so we left. Helped several other guests who arrived later.

We came on a Friday night and were surprised by how empty it was. We ordered the pretzel bites with beer cheese, caprese salad, and brisket sandwich. We both had the midnight solstice to drink. Unfortunately, we didn't find out until our food was being delivered that they had run out of beer cheese, and had to make do with mustard. I was disappointed since I was in a cheesy mood and ordered 50% for the cheese. Would have preferred the ability to order something different. The pretzel bites were fine, but not as amazing as other reviewers indicated. They were somewhat firm and dry, not soft and pillowy. The caprese salad was delicious and fresh. The brisket sandwich was also dry, I wouldn't order it again. We walked away mostly unimpressed with the food... but we loved the beer and chill vibe. The midnight solstice stout was incredible, and I'd go back just to drink that. I recommend coming here to hang out and drink beer, but don't come here for the food.

Westbrew is in the midst of Gaslamp Quarter offering a solid list of brews. They have a hard seltzer too for our gluten-free friends. The staff is super friendly and their beers are delightful. The Braaap comes in at a 3.5% which is insane for an IPA. It's a citrus forward, perfect day-drinker brew! The vibe is San Diego - Joshua Tree -esque. They've got games available to play and a pool table set up in the back room. Charming and chic

We came here on a Wednesday around 5:30 pm and it was pretty dead (Padres game had started at 5:30). I loved the homey casual vibe and that it has large doors open so it is well ventilated. I loved their Mango michelada and the food was surprisingly delicious! I had the pretzel bites which were pillowy soft (and baby approved) and the brisket sandwich on a toasted baguette. The meat was tender and flavorful with the Chimichurri sauce and pickled onions. My baby loved the mac and cheese! When it was just us, they forgot the pretzel bites so we had to go remind them. Otherwise, service was friendly and attentive.

Great place to come before heading to Petco. People are nice. Not an overwhelming selection of food but something for everyone. Good selection of beers too! Love the open window aspect! Would love to chill here during the rain.

Dog friendly! Our bouts got so much love! The ipa and boysenberry seltzer were delicious. The service was fantastic. Will definitely visit again.

Great beer. The staff was very nice and it was a great place to watch a padres game. Fun games inside and prime location.
