Love this place: A bit off the beaten path, excellent food, great service, good wine list, and a lovely view. We've been there twice; first time I had short ribs off the menu. Fantastic! second time, the scallop special with a jalapeño cream sauce and and out-of - this- world, risotto. Don't hesitate to give West End a try.

Cute little spot! Went because there was fish tacos on the menu here (there isn't lol). The female hostess was pretty rude. I thought it was just me but then in a separate incident she was rude to my friend also. The food was good- pricey. We had 5 guests and they added gratuity without mentioning it. This is a shady practice and I have scoured the website to see why we were auto-charged it with only 5 people. Please have your servers or host point this out.

Nice to see this place so busy on a Saturday night. But the acoustics are not helpful when trying ti hear people at your table. Nice choice of various dishes, but unfortunately the two we chose were just so-so. Meatloaf was mushy and not too exciting. The Del Mar Crab dish was a true disappointment. A little crab was hidden in raviolis and drowned in unidentifiable sauce. Not worth over 20.00 as most entres were priced. Waiter was nice but no other staff friendliness. There are too many new restaurants to go back to this one. Oh well. Lighting was good and we weren't rushed out while eating and talking.

Clam chowder.I could end my review on this alone. After 20 years of searching, I finally found a clam chowder worthy of my home in New England. As an almost 20-year Yelp Elite, and multi-year noir Elite, I can boldly say that nothing else in California comes close to original New England. But I won't stop there. Brunch with my family of extremely picky eaters was a godsend. Everything we had was top notch. From the crustacean eggs Benedict, to the huevos rancheros, fish tacos, and even my virgin Bloody Mary, it was one the best brunch experiences my family has had in a long time. Even my music artist son, who is a bit of a food snob, stopped to comment, "Dad, this cheeseburger is really good!"If I lived closer, I'd come every weekend and make it my regular brunch spot. Staff is super friendly, location is peacefully intimate, and I simply enjoy brunch the way it is supposed to be- delightful.

This is the spot to brunch! And not just for the bottomless. The location is prime, in Del mar. It's kind of an restaurant by itself on the drive towards Torrey pines. This is our second annual tradition having brunch here prior to going to the Del Mar horse races. The food is tasteful, reasonably priced, and they give you big portions. The service is amazing. Bridget served us this last visit, and she is so attentive to refilling our mimosas, making sure all our food came out well, if we needed anything else. We are also celebrating our friend's birthday, the restaurant let us keep the cake in the back, and lit candles and brought it to the table towards the end of our meal. There is a group of nine of us, it felt like I was a private party. Overall amazing experience. The spot will continue to be part of our annual tradition and we'll have to make some additional visits throughout the year as well.

I came here with my friend after the hike on Friday for lunch after the hike. The place is cozy and they have outdoor patio area that's covered. I got the carnitas tacos and my friend got the crab salad and clam chowder. Everything was pretty good, and good portion. It's a nice place to grab a lunch if you are nearby so we will be back after the hike.

Decided to visit and friend in SD and catch up over brunch. I made a reservation for Saturday at 11:15a and to my surprise, it wasn't super crowded when we arrived. We were sat on the patio which is covered and has sunshades, so it wasn't too hot. I ordered pancakes with eggs and bacon, along with a coffee. Eggs were cooked to perfection and the bacon was delicious! The portion sizes were pretty big, I wasn't able to finish everything (that's not a complaint though!). My friend got blueberry pancakes and they really enjoyed them. The prices are moderate and there's plenty of parking. Next time I find myself in that area, I'd definitely go again.

Very cool little bar/kitchen on the outskirts of Del Mar with a big open patio seating area and bar. Since I was supposed to be meeting a friend, I sat at the bar. Bartender "Nate" mixed up a delicious marg with a Tajín rim to go along with his crab cake recommendation and they both hit the spot. The crabcake was served on a bed of arugula with a pickled slaw cabbage, so it was very light and delicious and you could really taste the lumps of crab meat in it. It was not heavy at all and nothing like any crabcake I've ever had before! Highly recommend checking this off-the-beaten path place out.
