We Ko Pa Resort Buffet

With Talking Stick closing down their buffet permanently, we've always been looking for a new buffet that was someone close to us. WeKoPa is not too close, but not too far. We had gone to the previous version of the buffet about five years ago and it was pure trash.I gotta say this new buffet was pretty good! We got there about 2:30 PM and it was opening at 3 PM. Be sure to get your casino card cause that saved us $10 each for my wife and I. It was about $118 for two. As for the food, there was a big selection of your usual buffet dishes. This felt more like a vegas hotel casino in terms of stations. Mexican, Asian, American, lots of meat. I don't recall seeing any Italian, but they also had steamed snow crab legs. I b-lined it for that station. Delicious! The only issue I had was the last couple of crab legs tasted like they were at the bottom of a fish tank.. bleh. Would we come back? For sure!

Ate at The Buffet's crab & prime rib Friday/Saturday special. They have a plethora of food options from Asian, Mexican, Italian and American comfort food. Something for everyone! Their salad bar has a variety of fresh veggies. The desserts are absolutely delicious and perfectly sized for sampling more than one guiltlessly. They even have tasty sugar-free desserts! Service was prompt and friendly, especially our waiter. He checked on us plenty but wasn't overly solicitous. I can't say enough about the food, wonderful service and atmosphere! The casino is clean and the staff is friendly. I will definitely be back for gambling and food & drinks again soon. I recommend trying it and going hungry. Great place for a staycay!

Great food choices! Service excellent!! I have gone and tried most all restaurants at some point. Yes, love it there!

Friday night buffet was horrible. The fish was very dry even though it was in a tomato broth.. it was like shoe leather.. the prime rib was full of gristle and no flavor.. the snow crab was small with little meat inside as a result. Poor quality. High marks for canned corn and mashed potatoes doesn't justify $59.. all the hot food, with the exception of the Asian selections, were cheap and not worth the money. The desert was good, but cookies and pudding are hard to goof up. They did offer a $10 discount with the coupon from the players' club card.. It's still not worth it.. save your money for fresh food.. buffet is a waste of money..

I drive from South Phoenix about every 6 weeks. It's a drive but worth it. I'd have to say the price increase from $39 to $63 is a price hike but I get it...since COVID prices have skyrocketed. But honestly, where can you go for quality all you can eat prime rib and crab legs at this price point. I brought a friend who it was his first time, he said he'd definitely go back.

The buffet is great the food, service is on point. However if you eat at the market place its the same food they had at the buffet the day before.

We went for the Friday night seafood buffet last night and have never been so disappointed with our experience here. First, the price has gone up significantly. Even with the $10 off coupon, it still cost us $116 for 2 people. I don't mind paying for good food, but that is not what we found. The crab legs were not bright orange - they were mostly brown with black spots all over them. Some of the clusters were so bad the guy plating them up had a large container on the table behind him where he tossed the bad clusters into - and that container was FULL. The meat inside was try and tasteless. The shrimp was waterlogged and mushy with absolutely no flavor to them. The prime rib... how can you call that prime rib? You cut the loaf in half and butchered each piece. You could easily tell almost all of the food in the buffet had been sitting there for a long time.At first we were surprised that there wasn't the usual hour wait for the buffet on a weekend evening. After seeing the food, now we know. We walked right in and should have walked right out. Shame on We-Ko-Pa for serving food like this.

I would give the buffet a 2. Crab severely over steamed, nice selection but dried out sitting in trays . I wanted to try other foods but nothing looked appealing. We won't do that again at over 50. Per person.
