Wayback Burgers

My son has been here several times since it's opened and has always gotten it "to go". Today he took me and again got it to take home.As you walk in the restaurant they have many ad's around shop showcasing their burgers. By the door there is signage to download there app. which I did. It's an order at the counter and called name for pick up. Plenty of seating and clean open concept. Menu is above counter to review prior to ordering. My son and I both selected the cheesesteak. This is made with melted American cheese, topped with shaved steak, bacon, ranch & grilled onions.Sides extra and went with the tots (extra crispy). On our way out we requested their gold sauce. Packed a little odd, IMO but that wasn't too big of a deal. Lots of cheese on the sandwich, NO bacon & could have used a littlemore meat filling for the price. The gold sauce made it better tasting as otherwise a little bland. The tots were really good and had a great crunch, just the way I wanted them. Since downloading the app. I did earn points and an additional offer to come back for a promotional burger. I look forward to trying their burger selections & their chicken sandwiches look pretty good too! Check them out if you haven't already. Pricing is decent for the menu offerings.

I love a good hamburger. I was excited to see Wayback open close to me. My first visit was okay, hamburgers were good, fries and onions rings not so much. But... on my second visit with a friend ( his first time there), we placed our order to go. 2 hamburgers ( 1 completely plain, 1 bacon cheeseburger with no special changes), and 1 order of fries. We waited and waited and waited. I had my back to the counter, but my table mate had a view of the counter. After quite awhile, he mentioned that people who had ordered after us were getting their food. Now Wayback's motto is that a good burger is worth the wait, but at the 25 minute mark I finally went up to the counter. Our food was sitting behind the counter and was ice cold. No apologies, even when I mentioned that the food was ice cold to the touch. The $4.00 fries had maybe 10 fries in the container. No offer to give us fresh fries or remake the food. My lunch companion kept commenting on how terrible and cold the food was as he ate his and honestly cold fries and burgers are not the tastiest. The person who took our order saw us sitting and waiting the whole time. Our bag was marked Door Dash even though we walked in and ordered at the counter. I had not tipped as it was a walk up counter and a machine that asked of you want to leave a tip. I really feel as if this is why she let our food sit behind the counter rather than calling my name when it was ready. I know that my lunch mate won't be eating there again as Wayback made a terrible impression on him. I'm not sure if I'll be back either.

Try the cajun cheese curds! They're really good. Cheeesy burger is still my favorite of any burger anywhere.

Attractive location, No chili for the chili-cheese dog. Ordered a Steak Burger. Waited about 25-30 minutes, was served a bun enclosing 2 patties of beef with a slice of indescriminate cheese between the 2 and ...,,,, wait for it...... ooh.. that was IT! No mushrooms, no topping of any kind, there was a bottle of Ketchup on the table. It was a $10 burger, that's what I paid but frankly, a big mack was like a Smashburger compared to this. My wife tried a cheese steak... it SUCKED! I cannot recommend this overpriced, underwhelming attempt at a burger restaurant. Be warned

Ordered 4 burgers & more to-go on Thursday, 1/18/24. Food was ready when I arrived and counter staffed by young ladies were very friendly & helpful. They handed me bag with food & I had to remind them that I had 2 shakes with my order. They quickly made them. Shakes were good according to those in my party who got them. I had ~25min drive & burgers were warm/ok but fries & onion rings were cold by then. Burgers were fine. Hubby liked chili on fries but fries themselves just ok. Onion rings were soggy but tasty- sweet breading. Don't think I should judge them too harshly, since i think everything would taste better if we lived closer or ate there. Would try again.

Very nice new Burger Joint in town. Nicely designed interior. Go to the counter order and they bring out once done. Nice people at the counter were as helpful as they could be.. I had the double burger and fries with Soda. $14.00 seems to be pretty reasonable these days. Had my sandwich after a short wait. Fair amount of fries nice and hot. The burger was just ok for me. A little on the dry side and I'd prefer sliced onions not chopped. While everything was good there was nothing standing out to me. I'll be back to try their shakes and onion rings next time around along with cheese on the burger

Hamburger was terrible! It had no flavor and was bland, and the fries were soggy Service was fine.

Sadly this place was not good, at all. We ordered 2 burgers, some fries and a Cookies & Cream Shake from DoorDash after hearing about it on Facebook. The burger tasted like something from a bad family BBQ. Very thin and old tasting patty, with a half-melted Kraft Single on a bun that was ice cold. The fries were the kind that taste very potatoey and very old and soggy. Almost like Five Guys Fries but much worse and without the salt. The Shake was half edible but again, nothing was good. The "Wayback Sauce" tasted like old BBQ sauce and the Ranch tasted rancid. Sadly, I would never order again.

The burgers are great! If you want a really good burger at a decent price that's not fast food , this is the place. They have many choices. The service was good and the dinning area is clean and inviting. Love it. One of my new favorites!!
