Ambiance = average/basic Service = subpar, warm tap water after being seatedFood = aesthetically pleasing but flavor profile just isn't there, disappointing considering the price point especially in this economy

Checked out The Watershed Pub & Kitchen for Cider Tasting Sunday, hosted with Press Then Press (every third Sunday). They also run Tuesday trivia and live music nights. We dropped in on a busy Sunday (5:15pm) but were seated immediately. TV's had an interesting mix of college sports and walking around street videos on. Small happy hour (weekdays from 2:00pm-5:00pm) along with $4.00 USD late night pizza by the slice (starting at 9:00pm). - Cider tasting flight ($16.00 USD for 4) - theme was Kingston ciders. Our favourites were the quince and blackberry; slight funk, fruity.- Mama's pizza ($14.00 USD for 10" gluten free) - thin style crust. Decent but standard fare.Typical neighbourhood pub.

transparency: only went for drinks and snacks, so I don't have a lot to judge off of!I enjoyed the vibe of the place. High ceilings, super knowledgeable waiter, casual vibe and lots of seating.-1 point because it was hard to talk because it was pretty loud in there with the combo of people and speaker music. Portion for the mushroom app was very small, glad the waiter recommend getting some of their chip things to go with it ! Not many vegetarian options aside from the classic random appetizers and sides. But only one for the pizza sandwich situation.Lots of great beer and cocktail options and fun desserts! Food that was coming out around us looked good even if I couldn't eat it

A small group of us met at Watershed for their Tuesday trivia (starts at 7, with a second session at 8). Trivia at the Watershed is a lot of fun! We requested a table for 7, but a couple of folks in our party couldn't make it due to illness, so there were ultimately only 5 of us. Even still, the wait staff was understanding and accommodating.I'm partial to Watershed's pie folds, and particularly like their Puebla Verde. This is a vegetarian option, with an olive oil and garlic base, roasted corn, jalapeño, red onion, roasted red peppers, beecher's cheddar, pico de gallo, cremed avocado, and queso fresco. It is nicely spicey. Two of us opted for the Puebla Verde, and were both happy with it. There were a variety of beers and ciders ordered across our table, and we all enjoyed the abundant draught options. This is the 2nd time we've come in for trivia night, and plan to continue into the future. Thanks, Ben and family for providing such a great place for a fun and relaxing evening.BTW, there's usually tons of parking, since Watershed is near the Northgate P&R and Northgate Link station. But...on evening when there's a game downtown, the nearest lot can fill completely. Be prepared to park a little further afield on such nights. That said, given Watershed is so close to the station, it's a great place to grab an after work or after game bite and drink!

We had dinner here this week, and I loved the chill vibe with both indoor and outdoor seating, fun wall decor, and a well labeled menu for allergins. We arrived for happy hour and were seated inside. Despite being seated inside, the bugs were a bit of a nuisance flying on your face, landing in wine, and your water glass.. was a bit distracting. Our server was friendly and prompt and got us drinks and the Esquites dip with delicious gluten-free crackers. We shared the spicy chicken pesto gf pizza, which was tasty, and the shed greens salad, which had fresh ingredients. Everything came out in good timing, and we enjoyed our dinner. I was excited to see all the cider events they have here and can't wait to return for one of those with the cider living husband of mine.

I read reviews saying this place had bad lines and slow service but we got there and were served pretty quickly. The wild Berry mule was decent. Wish it was in the Mule cup! Had the grilled cheese and the cheese steak. Both were yummy. They have pickled onions which I've never had but they are now embedded into my brain. Waiter was fast and kind. Nice spot!

Roasted Jicama "Fries" // spiced and topped with queso fresco and side of sauce...ranch, beer mustard, or ketchup 9Okay my bad. I was just looking for a quick bite and I'd never had "Jicama fries before. Oh, you never had Jicama fries either. Go to your pantry and grab a couple raw russet potatoes. Cut length-wise into thick fries. Toss in a generous amount of jerk seasoning and pile onto your plate. And tada. Enjoy! What?! YOU don't like the taste of raw, crunchy roots? Oh, then YOU won't like Jicama fries, either. THIS menu item should come with a warning. in·ed·i·ble

Watershed is an interesting place with one of the largest tap list I've seen in a while. Got the Optimist grind pie fold per the recommendation of the waitress and cloudburst IPA. The pie fold while accurate to its description still caught me off guard. It really is a large slice of pizza that has been folded onto itself and presented as a panini/sandwich of some sort. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great either - very middle of the road. I would probably not ever get it again because I don't know about you, warmed up soggy salad greens that has been steaming between two pieces of dough isn't one of my favorite things to consume. I liked the service and their outdoor patio area which is extremely difficult to find in this part of town. If you're looking for an outdoor place with food that you can have some beverages with company, this is probably your best bet in the area!
