The Pad See Ew was soooooo good!! Best in the DMV, I've been trying to find good Thai food for ages and I FINALLY found this place. The service and employees were great, chill lunch spot, good food, portions are more than enough- could even split with a partner. Also, GET THE THAI TEA LEMONADE! Sooo yummy and refreshing

I would come back for the curry - it was solid!Tried out a curry that the waitress recommended to me (forgot the name, had a unique name) and it hit the spot! Service was quick, nothing to complain.

Zumo Thai is conveniently located in the Chinatown district of DC. We were out enjoying the holiday market and festivities that downtown had to offer. All of a sudden we were craving some quality Thai food. Neither of us had been to Zumo Thai before but bring it was cold and getting late we were eager to have some food that would warm us up. If you blink you will this place, it is a small unassuming restaurant with an entrance right next to another Asian restaurant.Thai is one of my favorite cuisines but being vegetarian it's been a hit or miss for me since many Thai places use fish/oyster sauce. I wasn't pleasantly surprised to see the menu had a plethora of vegetarian dishes. Nearly all the entrees had a vegetarian option. And I'm not talking about just tofu, although I love a good tofu but eggplant and other options. The food was so good I only managed to snag pics of 2 of the menu items we ordered. Definitely try the Agedashi Tofu appetizer, this is unique and is dunked in a sauce umami/soy style sauce with a dusting of sea weed flakes. The pineapple fried rice with tofu and green curry is what we ordered for our entrees. The plain rice with the green curry was the most perfect sticky rice I've ever had. Green curry was flavorful, yet light and filling. There was something about it; most places green curry feels heavy. This was the perfect touch.Pineapple fried rice was tasty and likely the best one I've had in the DMV! You can taste that they use quality fresh ingredient and the meals are prepared made to order. Don't miss out on this gem if you are looking for Thai in the DMV.

This is a nice mom and pop place in Chinatown and within a block of the Capital One Arena and right across the metro. They have a good mix of Thai and sushi dishes. But you have to have Thai! All the dishes we ordered were very good. Start with the spicy edamame. It really is not super spicy but it's flavorful. I'm sure the typical edamame with salt is good too because the edamame itself were decent size seeds, ie not skimpy. Go for the Tom Yum Ka soup with chicken and red curry with chicken. Both are very flavorful with fresh ingredients. You may want more rice because the first serving will probably run out before the curry. Another must is the Thai ice tea. The service is fast and friendly. Better yet... the prices were not pricey for the city.

I was craving peking duck and the usual place I go to was closed so I stopped in at ZumoThai for dinner. There's a grand opening sign in front of the restaurant but it's been up there for a least a year so this isn't a new restaurant. I asked for recommendations regarding duck and was recommended the crispy duck ga prao. I asked how crispy the duck was and was told it wouldn't be as crispy because it will be tossed in sauce so I asked for it on the side. When I received the dish, the duck was very thinly sliced and then fried so tasted tough and weird. The sauce itself was flavorful. The fried tofu was crispy but bland, definitely ask for more sauce.

This hidden gem in Chinatown has good Thai food y'all! I stopped in with my gf the other night for a quick dinner. She spent 3 weeks in Thailand so this is someone that knows her Thai food very well. She was pleasantly surprised with how authentic everything tasted. We started with the chicken wings for appetizer and it was super crispy! I loved my Krapow and she enjoyed her Masaman Curry dish. It's a small restaurant with a few tables but we didn't have any trouble on a Friday night.

I was visiting with my partner. The restaurant itself is not the cleanest. Bathroom had no toilet paper no soap -- I don't get how that's okay!!! The food however was a small but perfect portion of you're not trying to have leftovers. Still expensive for the portion size though. We both ordered the red curry but mine was tofu which was yummy. I'd go back but maybe only for carry out next time because I didn't feel the restaurant was clean to my expectations. Service took forever -- they favored large parties who were there for alcoholic drinks. We ordered a coke and once our food was out they didn't check on us. We had to call someone over to get our bill after 15 minutes of waiting.

The Good: we were the only people in the establishment at the time. The staff were attentive and gave good feedback on questions we had. The fried gyoza was delicious and very well made. The calamari was tender, hot, and crispy, the sauce they had on it was delicious.I had the angry dragon and it was good but not great. I still ate it all.The Pad -Si-Ew Noodle was also good but not great. We also devoured the meal. The establishment is a small mom and pop type vibe. Cute but it had these little fruit flies/nats constantly surrounding our food. Would we come back? unlikely, with all the other options. I'm still glad we came and tried it out!

We ordered carry out. We purchased Pad Thai (mild) and two orders of chicken red curry (one mild and the other medium). The portions don't make sense for the price you pay. It tastes good but not great. I have had better red curry in NYC. The Pad Thai is better than the red curry. You literally have to search for the food in the curry dishes. Makes no sense.

Went to ZumoThai after the Caps game, after searching Yelp (of course) to see what was around. Kept it simple, had the drunken noodles with chicken and a thai iced tea. Food was really tasty, not too spicy (medium spicy? I probably could have bumped it up a smidge). Pretty good serving size as well. Iced tea was great. Service was good. No real complaints, everything was on point. It's a smallish restaurant, so it can get crowded pretty easily. I enjoyed it though.
