Zesty Kabob

Those food truck comes to my job probably 4-5 times a week! He is the reason I can't be great on my diet! The Gyro is amazing, the lamb is always seasoned perfectly and the salad is delicious too! I love the chick peas as well, it also comes with Spinach too! The owner is really nice he is always very friendly and even when my coworkers mess up on orders he is cool and willing to fix and exchange for you. His food is so delicious I even take a tray home to hubby.Great seasoned meat and excellent customer service! Best Food Truck!

A solid 4.5 stars, i rounded up because 1) tax is included and 2) they were super nice. First things first, huge portions which always keeps me at the minimum a 3.5 star level unless the food is not edible. I mean the worst thing is having great food and not enough of it... Zesty gives me more than enough to keep me happy... and sleepy during the workday afternoon.Their chicken tastes moist and seasoned well, the lamb is the standard cube/mix but no complaints from me. They do have the standard chickpea and spinach side but what sets them apart is that you have options on the salad. (or you can opt for a veggie medley). The only minor knock is that their rice while good is just the standard yellow, with kebobs you have to go with the fennel/herb infused rice to get the full authentic flavor of halal food. But definitely worth a stop if you see this truck, the server also gives you free samples of chicken and lamb as well if you want a taste before diving in.

Two and a half stars. Wild salad ingredients sounded less boring than Caesar, but the generic shredded lettuce saddened me despite the thinly sliced red onions, olives, tomato dice, and crumbled feta. Very bland chickpeas, the spinach has got to be better. Lamb platter offers tender cubes of gyro meat over slightly mushy rice. The drizzle of spicy sauce atop it is unimpressive in heat and flavor. Their price point is decent for the food portion compared to other trucks, but I'd still shell out a little more for Tasty Kabob's superior flavor.

This is an amazing food truck. The food is always fresh and the staff are really friendly. When they show up at my job it's the one food truck that everyone knows to tell me is outside because they know how much I love it. What I enjoy is that when trying to eat healthy I'm able to get a protein and double up on the veggies and it's not a problem. If you haven't tried it before try now and try the extra spicy sauce.

Went to D.C. with a couple of friends to try some good food trucks and I came across Zesty Kabob. I ordered the daily special which was lamb and chicken over rice or salad and a choice of two sides. I got the chickpeas and spinach. The service is pretty good, but when I got my order it only came with lamb, not the additional chicken. The flavors were really good and not too spicy, and the chickpeas and spinach were mediocre as well. Adding the sides to the salad is a definite must as it adds more flavor and makes the meal even more enjoyable.

I was walking by this food truck today and decided to take a chance. I ordered the combination platter of lamb & chicken. The lamb was basically gyro meat which I thought was okay. But the chicken was full of flavor...which I would definitely order again. They were out of chick peas so I got the spinach instead. Suprisingly enough, the spinach was good. I find that most kabob places overcook the spinach, but not Zesty Kabob. I ended up eating all of my spinach this time!As I was waiting for my food , the guy gave me a sample of the mixed chicken and beef...which I didn't care for. My patter also came with a decent salad for a total of about $9. I had enough food for 2 meals. I would recommend Zesty Kabob for lunch.3.5 Stars!

Great price, portion, and flavor. I came here for lunch when walking by the area and ordered the veggie platter (since I'm a vegetarian). It had a side of spinach, with a main course of chickpeas and rice. The rice was standard yellow rice. But the chickpeas and the sauce made the meal. Service took less than 5 minutes even during the lunch rush. I would recommend.

This place smelled yummy walking by during lunchtime on an Easter weekend Saturday. The line was long and took forever to order but it was worth the wait (esp compared to the type of food other food trucks were selling in that vicinity).Got the combo plate with double order of spinach. Got the spinach because of all the reviews on yelp and YES IT REALLY IS GOOD! People were complaining about the rice but it wasn't as bad as some of the other reviews made it seem. It wasn't superb or anything but it's totally mediocre and good enough to go w/ the meal. They gave me lots of chicken with not that much lamb. The chicken was good, but the lamb was much better. I wish they gave me more lamb. The orange tzatziki sauce was tasty.They sell a can of soda for $1. They also sell a 20oz bottle of water for $1. Twenty ounces for a dollar?? That's a steal deal!
