Food: 5Service: 5Value: 5Ambiance: 5What a cute spot tucked away in Clarendon! Cafe vibes with good enough seating for larger groups too (was not too busy around Sunday lunch) You can order at the front or at your table via QR code. The food was so fresh and big portion sizes (we both got salads). Definitely get the dip sampler (comes with pita bread and chips)- everything was great but my favorite was the muhammara! The salads were flavorful and had just the right amount of dressing. I will definitely be going back to try their bowls and more flatbreads. Price point was very good for Arlington and portion size for the price was great. (~$14 for big salad, ~$17 if you add chicken)

I was heading toward Bakeshop for a coffee when I suddenly sensed a wonderful aroma of beef and spices. The scent stopped me in my tracks, and, before I realized what I was doing, I had to follow that wonderful smell. A couple doors down I arrived at Zazzy, a Mediterranean Cafe. I looked at the menu from outside and zeroed in on the Lahme biajine, a ground beef and mixed spice flatbread.Roomy and modern looking, I peeked into the restaurant. Spotless and nicely designed inside interior, I approached the counter and ordered the food for here. I did not even know that I was hungry until I went inside. I told the counter person of my first time there. He was quite helpful with my questions.I took a seat and, in just a few minutes, the flatbread dish appeared hot and smelling wonderful. It looked quite nice reminding me of an extra thin individual thin pizza or a quesadilla. Delish! Enough spice and portioned nicely, not overly filling. Next time, I may suggest something like a chopped green or red veggie on top of it for some texture.A nice surprise for a Sunday afternoon, and I still got my coffee at Bakeshop a couple doors down from Zazzy.

My friend and I came here for a late lunch around 2:30ish. It was completely empty which was nice because the place we tried going to was completely packed. I got the chicken batata and my friend got one of the bowls. Mine was pretty good, the chicken was delicious. The potatoes were good, the ones that were super oily thought tasted a little weird. I like the crispy crunchy ones better. It's a cute little restaurant, aesthetically pleasing.

This is like a Lebanese version of Tatte, although most things in the menu here are meant for sharing, other than the sandwiches, and the menu isn't vast (no kibbeh, for example). It would be nice to see more items in the menu that are for individual ordering, such as more individual plates with multiple sides other than a dip sampler. As for the food, the flavors are very much on-point - very traditional even though I had to take a double look at the English names for the Lebanese dishes. For some reason I thought I was going to get a ful mudamas when I picked a fave bean dip - but it was literally a mashed dip - and I'll admit it was tasty! It would be great to have more pita to go with it - but I wasn't sure if they're complimentary with the dip.The beef and egg breakfast was tasty too - and is their take on the Lebanese qawarma dish. The flavors were very Lebanese - and tasty - and I enjoyed this one a lot. I asked for it without potatoes - and it seems like potatoes are in many other dishes here. I tend to go for side salads, but this is not yet an option. The desserts were good, such as the kunafe baked in dough, topped with pistachio and traditional syrup, which is somewhat a similar take on the Lebanese kunafe stuffed in kaak bread. I thought the pistachio was a nice touch as it added another flavor to what would be overwhelmingly be a lot of cheese and bread (I didn't taste much of the traditional kataifi or shredded phyllo dough (or semolina) - and can't even recall if there was any in it at this time.Overall, I enjoyed it, and the vibe is pretty chill and relaxing, and modern. But I should be planning on coming back with a group to take the most advantage of what this place has to offer. I do plan to come back to try their oushes/manoushes/flatbreads since their pita is really tasty.

They were SO friendly and warm, and the food was excellent! The lemonade was so lovely with just a hint of orange flower, and the tabouleh salad was so flavorful with a surprising small hint of cinnamon! Will be back!

Zazzy is a snazzy new (ish) Lebanese fast-casual restaurant that opened up in Clarendon. My friend looked up restaurants in the area and found Zazzy. Our group of four most definitely enjoyed the food here this past Tuesday. The interior is spacious with a Instagram-able design and detail. The ordering system is pretty casual -- you can order at the counter or using a QR code. We got a bunch to share and thought everything was wonderful!HALLOUMI FATTOUSH - 14.50A very refreshing salad that was lightly sweetened by tomatoes and pomegranate molasses. All the ingredients were fresh and juicy, making it the perfect salad to eat on a hot evening. The toasted pita added a lovely crunchy texture that I kept wanting more of. So refreshing and I would order this again for myself.ZAATAR - 8Flatbread with a generous seasoning of zaatar, sumac, sesame, salt. This is my first time trying zaatar and I liked it. The texture is definitely more on the gritty side, but the flavors were good and I enjoyed the soft and chewiness of the flatbread.LAHME BIAJINE - 11This flatbread was topped with ground beef, tomato, red pepper & onions. It was flavorful and one of my friends really liked this one. Good amount of ground beef and sweetened lightly by the tomato. I enjoyed it, too,CHICKEN BATATA - 14This has to be my favorite of all the food we ordered. The chicken and potatoes come in a small cast iron pan (I think) and there was a side of pita with a super garlicky sauce. The chicken was pretty juicy and fresh, even the white meat pieces. These potatoes have to be the best potatoes I've had as they were seasoned very well and pretty cheesy. I could probably eat a whole bowl of these potatoes. They were so, so good. The pita bread was nice and the sauce was so good because it was so garlicky. Super tasty all around, yum.DIPS SAMPLER - 16The dips sampler come with some pita crisps (?) that were already quite seasoned and enjoyable on their own along with a generous plate of pita. The sampler allowed us to enjoy all four of their available dips. Our favorite was definitely the mhamara walnuts. The eggplant tahini and fava dips were good, too, as it's not flavors I enjoy too often. The labne was very smooth but the chips kept breaking every time we would try to dip it in (same with the fava dip). Overall, solid option and would recommend this if you want to try all the dips!Zazzy blew us away with how good it was. I would definitely recommend and hope to come back soon!

I'm so grateful Zazzy opened up in Arlington. There are very few spots in Arlington that are actually tasty and healthy (and not a chain). We have made Zazzy our backup option for when we're too lazy to cook and need to continue eating healthy. The absolute best thing on the menu is the freekeh date salad. Needless to mention their fatteh, mhammara, flatbreads, and even their cookies! Such a little gem! Best of luck to the Zazzy family!

I really enjoyed my first trip to Zazzy and hoping to try it many more times! I got food to go and it's a large portion for a fair price. The space was very cute, trendy but airy. Staff was super friendly and the wait wasn't too long for freshly made food. I tried the halloumi salad and the chickpea fattoush. The salad was great but my two wants was 1) for the halloumi to maybe be grilled? I think grilling or adding a flavored halloumi would give the cheese a saltier taste which would then offset the sweet dressing and 2) to lower the sugar level in the pomegranate molasses. The taste was unique and tasty but it was hard to use the whole dressing because it was a bit overpowering at moments and needed some salt balance within the saladThe chickpea fattoush was filling and tasty, loved the side garlic sauce. I also got a house lemonade which was fantastic. I definitely need to come back and try some breads, dips, and some meat items to give them the full 5 star they deserve!

I love this place. It's quite unique and delicious. If you're a foodie like me, and want something different--I would totally suggest stopping here. The atmosphere is semi homestead-y-like, if you know what I mean.
