I was surprised by how much I loved my falafel wrap at Zam Zam Market. This was the first wrap I have had in Maryland that reminded me of Israel.Zam Zam Market has a wide variety of Middle Eastern grocery items and pastries. Space is very cramped inside as they have fit racks of groceries tightly in the store. To order a hot and ready item, you can order at the register.Behind the register is a menu so you can see the food options. I ordered a falafel wrap and asked for it to be made dairy free. The wrap was made in 5 minutes. They made sure to not put sauce on the wrap, and instead but the dairy sauce on the side. I do wish the wrap had a sauce option that was vegan like hummus or a spicy red sauce. It was a little dry with nothing. That falafel though made this wrap totally worth ordering The falafel was so light and perfectly flavored. Finally a falafel ball that is not burnt on the outside, dried out, or just tastes like parsley. This falafel was everything I could have dreamed of, and I will certainly order it again. Next time I visit Zam Zam not only will I bring a shopping bag to grocery shop, but I also look forward to another authentic falafel wrap. I would give this spot 5 stars if they could provide a vegan sauce for the falafel. Then my experience would be perfect.

By the reviews I thought this was a meat shop with a few Persian groceries. But I was in for a surprise. Infact the meat in the freezer rack was very less, but their grocery collection was impressive. They also have a few take out items, I tried the kubedah kebab and gyro roll. Their quantity was impressive. Impressed that the kebab on rice came with a small sachet of sumac. For ppl giving less stars, not sure what is missing.Yeah the location is not in the hip kentands by the whole foods, but who cares as long as the food is good, prices seemed ok.

There are better Iranian markets then this one. Although it's location is probably closer than most, for the people that live in Gaithersburg. I find the owner to be very rude and if he think you are not an Iranian, he usually tries to raise the price. Their alvas (aka mortadella) is horrible. I've bought it twice now from here, because Karavan (another Iranian market off of 355) was out of it. Both times the kalvas was discolored, and tasted awful. It's always one of the most disappointing experiences when your kalvas is bad. They do have a great selection of hookah flavors and coles. Not terribly over priced either.

This was my first time going there. The owner "Agha Reza" was very nice and friendly. The selection of Persian necessities is very reasonable and good prices. Some items are even cheaper than other places. For example their "Lebni Yogurt" was 1.99 and their Starbuzz tobacco was 20.00. We will certainly be back.

The menu here looks great, but we have yet to order any take out food. I found quite a few things I wanted to purchase sold in the grocery store and items seemed fairly priced. I noticed quite a few items did not have prices labeled, but the women working the register was nice enough to give me the prices for a few products to help me decided if I wanted to purchase them.

We recently started shopping at Zam Zam Market and so far we are very satisfied with our experience. Prices are at least a $ or a little more cheaper than most of the Mediterranean groceries on route 355. We are getting most of our groceries from there and most of the meat products they offer. The beef stew is so tender and delicious when cooked and it is Halal (if you care). The feta cheese is very delicious too and the Merva labneh is the best compared to other products. They just need to put the price on their items as it's not clear sometimes what is the price especially for the items in the fridge.

The market itself isn't so bad. However, The food isn't the best. I bought a Gyro and that's all you get for 6.99 and it's small. The meat was Dry and barely any meat too. Definitely not going back for the Gyro.
