I haven't written a review in years but had to for Yi Pin. My husband and I didn't have high hopes for this place since all of the Chinese places my father in law takes us to end up closing down.We came here for Christmas lunch and were blown away. Everything that was ordered was super delicious imo. Some of the dishes we got were the twice cooked pork belly, mapo tofu with minced meat, and the egg plant (if you looked at the pictures it's the spiral one) to name a few. We are actually planning on ordering takeout tonight. With the plethora of Chinese restaurants in the area, this was a hidden gem.

Excellent food, but the rating is significantly lowered because of the service we received. We had a big party with both adults and kids. We had to wait for a long time for a server to walk by and get our order, the tea and water were never refilled until we asked for them to be. More importantly, the server was visibly rude when we ordered food and just assumed that we wouldn't order enough food because of the young kids at the table. Which turned out to be wildly untrue (we ordered an average of 2-3 dishes per adult). If the restaurant is so unwelcoming of families, they should've stated it up front. No one came to clean up the finished dishes either.Until the service improves, we will not be coming back.

We're back! We really enjoy this restaurant and after this our third visit we consider it our favourite Chinese food restaurant. Can't wait to try more dishes! What we gotChicken gyoza - 3.5* the gyoza skin was delicious, the chicken inners were alright, and the dipping sauce was subpart. Won't be getting again.Beef and broccoli - 4* my least favourite of the dishes. It was still delicious with tender beef, the sauce just tasted lesss flavourful compared to the others Shredded pork with sweet bean sauce & 6 steamed buns - 5* wowowowowow. Blew our minds. Had to fight a little over who got the extra buns to make their own bao (four people, six buns).Orange chicken - 5* yes! This was legit! I loved that it actually tasted like orange chicken, not just chicken in a sauce.Sauteed beef with black pepper - 5* sooo very flavourful. The onions paired so well with the meat and it was just tasty.

Authentic Szechuan food, fast and attentive service! Great selection of authentic Szechuan food at a reasonable price ($13 veggie mains, $15-28 meat mains). Our favorite were the pig trotter soup, beef and tofu stew, and the Chinese-style Kung pao chicken. All protein was perfectly tender, Szechuan spices were fragrant but not too numbing, and everything was super flavorful! Surprisingly attentive service. The waiters would always make sure our water was filled and that we had enough napkins. Only complaint is that all the chairs in the restaurant were really uncomfortable. All wooden chairs without a seat cushion XD The bathrooms could also use some TLC.

Came here for lunch with my wife. The restaurant is very spacious and nicely themed. The furniture and wood work is exquisite. We were seated quickly at our table and the waitress was great with recommending dishes based off our preferences. After the order was in a ran to the restroom to wash my hands. Upon my return the first dishes started coming out. Everything was really good. The chef did an amazing job with flavor and presentation of the dishes. Think gourmet Szechuan. Yeah, they have some American Chinese dishes on the menu. However, if you are a "general tso, orange chicken, and fried rice" type. I beg you to jump outside your comfort zone for a better quality of life. Make the jump here!Easy 5/5 stars!

First time I've tried Yi Pin. The service was good and the food was tasty. I'm going to have to downgrade a star for the ambiance though. There was an unpleasant smell coming from somewhere that resembled a plumbing issue. That being said, the bathrooms were clean and the portion sizes of the food were quite large.

Newly opened Chinese restaurant claimed to serve Asian fusion, but actually just Chinese food, especially Sichuan hot spicy food. The food was great, the service was outstanding, and the prices were reasonable. The owner came over to our table several times to check on us. It's a huge venue with several private party rooms. Great atmosphere with Chinese music in the background. We ordered: 5*Poached Fish Filet in Spicy Szechu n Sauce 江北水煮鱼: generous portion, plenty of fish fillets. 5*Cumin Flavor Crispy Pig Feet 脆皮香猪蹄: big portions, crispy outside and tender inside. 5*Spicy Mixed Stew山城毛血旺: spicy and a huge portion. Included lotus, spam, veggies, and bean sprouts . Delicious.5*Hong Kong Style Pork Rib w. Garl seasoning 金牌蒜香骨蒜香味: tender meat, delicious garlic seasoning, generous portion.I'll definitely go back to try other dishes.

YiPin hits it out of the park with lunch specials. For only 11.95 you get an entree, soup and rice. We got the beef with cumin and beef with long peppers. Both very good and slightly better then kungfu12. Hot and sour soup and wonton was equally good and big portions on the wontons. Service was friendly and fast. And don't forget to get 5% discount when you pay cash. Place has not disappointed so far.

We stumbled on this new Chinese restaurant near the shady grove metro and were surprised at how delicious and flavorful everything was. The string beans and minced pork combo really hit the spot (I haven't found that combo anywhere else nearby) and the string beans had a really nice crisp which I love (not soggy at all). The fried fish fillet had excellent salt and pepper taste - the flakes sprinkled on were so good and added extra crispness and flavor. My fiancé enjoyed the chicken offal which came with a heating element to keep it hot. Service was friendly and fast. We frequent the Chinese restaurants in Moco and are excited to add this one to our repertoire!

Went there for my mom's birthday lunch. Decor is nice. Only time will tell if they keep it in good shape.I didn't give them 5 stars because of their service. They are attentive while you order (a thumbs down for no greens in the noodles and it came with greens) and during food arrival, but once your table receives everything, the staff are no where to be found. You have to go find someone for water/tea refills or if you need anything else. Then one of the staff came during the meal and mumbled something, causing confusion with everyone. Why they were there, I assume, is to check if we got a certain dish. All they had to do was look and go or ask clearly. No need to say anything no one understood. Can't find a good hot & sour soup place these days, but I think this is it. I've only been there once, so I'll have to try it again soon to see if they're consistent. The predecessor always said the soup is only good if you eat there. Wrong. Places either add too much vinegar or too much hot sauce/pepper. Plus, leaving garnishes out. I like their soup bowls/cups. The metal inside keeps the soup nice and hot/warm. Be careful since it can burn the roof of your mouth.FYI - They auto add gratuity if your party is 5 or more.
