Deserves all the stars . I just wish there were more locations nearby me. Everything is fresh, from the pastries and deserts. I always come for breakfast. For the Jammy Egg. It's a pizza wrapped up in a tiny crossiant. Halfa Honey for coffee 10/10. The date labin for dessert is Delicious. Highly recommend coming in before 9am to avoid lines.

Hands down the best breakfast in the Union Market area. Everything is so flavorful and the espresso drinks so good. Hard not to spend a $100 here in one go, not because it's expensive but because you order one thing and it's so delicious, you go back for something else. Also, the egg and kefta pita sandwich is stellar. If you haven't tried it, get over there now and let it rock your world for a minute or two.

Delicious coffee (espresso based). Have gone a couple times with friends.Does take a little bit of time, so fyi on the waitIt's not a spot I would personally go to on the weekends, it's very clearly popular so the lines are long, but if you are able to go other times it's worth going to! And if you don't mind lines - wait The food on the menu also looks delish so I need to go back to eat some of the food. I did have a pastry and it was sooooo good! The decor is wonderful as well, as are the variant seating areas. Some tables, some more chill lounge areas, some booths. A nice variety!

**delicious, unique drinks!I really love the coffee here. I got the cardamom coconut cold from latte months ago and was blown away. So I had to get it again! Still as delicious as I remember. The cardamom is so delightful and flavorful. This time, I also tried the labne with pomegranate molasses. The labne was really creamy! The syrup was also good. Only thing I didn't like was that they added sea salt flakes. I'm ok with a bit for garnish, but there was way too much in my opinion. It made every bite extremely salty. Next time I'd ask them not to add it.There are a lot of seats, but it does get loud and busy on the weekends! The staff is nice and get out the orders very quickly.

Great food and service! Arrived at opening on a Saturday morning and there were people inside already. 10 AM is when things really pick up and get busy so we were glad we came early. Very cute inside, bathrooms are cute too. Halva honey latte and damask rose milk tea were both delicious and carried me through the day after only a few hours of sleep!

Does this place even need another 5 star review? The flavors are unreal. They're doing something different and it's insanely delicious. The lines are warranted. Pro tip, order online and grab it from the pickup window so you don't have to go inside and wait. It's a little pricey--spent just under $30 on two pastries and a hash brown but it was so, so good. Great treat for every now and then.Jammy egg croissant will change your life!

This is the best bakery in town! The pastries are delicious - they are perfectly flaky, full of flavor, and generous in size. There is a twelve-piece limit on pasty items, so if you want to place a large order, look into catering. The jammy egg shakshuka croissant ($8) is my favorite and can be warmed up by the bakery or at home. The almond arak twice-baked croissant ($7.50) has a lot of almond throughout the croissant, which is amazing and different than those bakeries that just put a small amount in the middle that leaves you wanting for more flavor. The bakery opens at 8am every day. Get there early!

This is a well-deserved five star cafe, and I can't wait to come back. I've been twice since it is pretty close to my house, but since the hours are like a true café, closing at 3 PM. I've only been able to come on the weekends, which get very busy. The first time I tried the lamb pita, and the halva chocolate chip cookie, and the second time I did the chicken pita with batatas (seasoned tater tots) and a hot apple cider. The lamb pita is pretty much perfect in my opinion, and the chocolate chip cookie was amazing. I'm looking forward to trying more of the pastries and dessert since I am a huge baking nerd. I'm not big on coffee, so I love that this place puts as much energy into their food and pastries as well. I would say this place is definitely not budget friendly, the pitas run you about $15 and up and it is similar to a café style so you're not necessarily paying for table side service. Regardless, I think this is a great addition to Union market.

Lunch review: This place is trendy and I love the food, but I don't think it is for extremely picky eaters or people on a budget. Check out the menu online beforehand. A cauliflower pita + a pastry + tip + tax= ~$30. You must not go without ordering a pastry! I came here on a Saturday, and it was extremely busy. There's not a lot of space in front of the ordering counter, so once you've got 5-10 people, the line will go out of the door. You order at the counter and get a flag with a number on it. Line moves pretty quickly though, and once I ordered, I got my cauliflower pita within 10 minutes. It's also self-serve: there is a counter to collect napkins, fill up your own water glass, and also where you drop off your trays when you're done eating. Looking for seats can be tough when it's busy (just like at the Georgetown location), and in addition to regular tables and seats, there's a communal table. My cauliflower pita was good, but not the best I've had ( for comparison- I prefer Shouk's cauliflower pita with more fillings). I've been to the Georgetown location at least 3x and the Navy yard location once, so I know how good Yellow can be, and that's why I'll keep coming back from time to time.

I'm giving 3 stars for the food because the shasuka was really delicious and I loved the pita that came with it. I also ordered the lemon cruffin, but I would say that was a pass. The lemon filling in the center overwhelmed the pastry. I am deducting 2 stars for the service we received and the overall vibe. When you enter it is unclear what the process is for getting a table vs. ordering. We went to the counter to order and planned to wait for a table. Guests who came in after us grabbed a table as it was opening, despite me and my friend having already ordered and paid. When our food came up they said our order was to-go. I informed the woman handing out food we did not intend to order to-go, nor did anyone ask us if we wanted to-go. We wanted to eat there as we had both driven to the restaurant and it was 20 degrees outside. The staff informed us all orders were to go if we were not at a table. I think this process needs more clarity, if we knew we would not be able to get a table and sit down we would not have stayed and would have found another spot. Also, the woman was very rude in the delivery of this, implying we should have know this despite it being our first time at the restaurant. Finally, I was frustrated that we paid a 20% gratuity for food that we ended up having to bag ourselves, get our own utensils and napkins and then leave the restaurant and find some place else to eat. The price does not work with the level of service. There's a lot of work that needs to be done here.
