My friend and I were looking for some late-night eats with something warm and soupy, so we decided to check out Yasijang. Since it's a pocha, it can get pretty loud and rowdy. We were seated in a smaller room with a larger group, so it was pretty hard to hear each other at times. I like that each table has a button you could press if you need anything from the servers, which was convenient.ARMY STEW - 19.95We split the budae jjigae between the two of us, and it was a generous portion -- maybe a bit too much for one person, but perfect for two with smaller appetites. The broth was flavorful (from the spam, kimchi, and seasoning), but not overly fatty, which was great. There was a mild level of spice, just enough to give it a kick. The instant ramen noodles that soaked up the broth well. Overall, it was a solid budae jjigae for the area, and I'd come back to get it.Service is fast -- just press the button if you need anything! Yasijang is a great option for late-night eats with drinks.

Came with a party of 9 and will definitely be coming back! Impeccable service with a very homey & comfortable ambience. Overall, food was good. The assorted jeons and the seafood pancake were delicious. Was a little disappointed by the army stew - felt like most of the stew was just kimchi with little meat and a couple blocks of tofu. Service was simply a 10/10. Service was fast and staff were highly attentive and friendly. Our waitress was so on top of things. Overall really good vibes. Added bonus - they have karaoke rooms inside the restaurant so it really serves as a one stop shop! Note: the rooms are on the smaller end so a little difficult for large parties but still a good time!

We came as a bigger party, and there are not many tables. The restaurant is a lot smaller than expected. We didn't have a reservation, but luckily, there was some space in the karaoke rooms. But then they moved us to a table, and we honestly preferred the cozy karaoke rooms since we were able to face each other. We ordered a decent amount of dishes, but the portion size of each thing was soooo small that half of us didn't eat much and weren't full. We waited at least 30-45min for food when we were probably the only table they were serving at that point, and then each dish continued to come out very slowly. We were starving, and they tried to compensate us by giving us some tuna on lettuce (pictured). Definitely not enough to compensate. We even noticed a nearby table coming in after us, and they also waited around 45 minutes for food. They tried to compensate them with some fish cake and soup in a beer mug, which was hilarious to see.And then after all that wait, the food was not good. The most disappointing dish was the bossam since it was the most expensive, but the plate is the smallest I've seen compared to any other Korean restaurant. The fish cake soup was a bit salty, and the seafood pancake was even saltier. The pancake was also unexpectedly eggy and not as crispy like I'm used to. We liked the sour stir-fried pork with tofu but not the bulgogi, which had barely any meat and was a bit too spicy for our taste. I didn't really like it honestly. The army stew was okay but took the longest to come out. The best part of the meal was the bottled makgeolli, which is so sad. When we need the staff for rice, boxes, or the check, it was so hard to get their attention. The bathrooms are also only one stall, and someone always seemed to be in there. Overall, not a good experience, and I wouldn't come again. I left hungry and full of just soup.

Yasijang (night market) is a newer late night Korean eatery and bar that serves up drink accompaniments and meals. The menu offers juhns, odeng guks, sashimi, bossam, stews, noodles, etc. We tried some of their sashimi, the kalguksoo, the ahgu jjim, hamburg steak, and their donkatsu.Note that this is a part of DaMoim, and located inside this establishment.Staff were friendly, and there's plenty of parking in the shared plaza lot.+friendly service+located inside DaMoim

We went to try out this new pocha in Annandale because we wanted to try something new besides the same pochas. I was pleasantly surprised! It was really busy inside so there might be a wait on the weekends. The menu has a wide variety of Korean dishes that it was so hard to choose. They have everything from meat options, soup options, and just small appetizers. First, the squid dish was so good with just the right amount of spice. The jeons were all delicious with a good variety if you want to try all of them. The mulddeok was also delicious. The soup was so addicting and came in a beer glass to make it easier to sip on it. We also got a small salmon sashimi dish that was on the house. The fish was super fresh and high quality. The servers were super nice and helpful. The owner's father was also going around to each table and talking with the customers. He was very nice and made our experience better. We will definitely be back again and recommend this place to anyone who wants to come eat or to have some casual drinks with friends! p.s. they also have two karaoke rooms towards the back open to customers!

Came here last night with some friends after seeing this place featured in an Instagram reel, and we had a blast! 10/10 will be coming back again. This is a classic Korean drinking establishment with makgeoli (korean rice wine) served in traditional tin kettles, an assortment of soju, various jeons (fritters/ savory pancakes), and tons of options for anju (Korean drinking foods). The food portions were generous and many of the dishes are meant to be shared. For 7 people, we shared: assorted jeon platter, seafood pancake, kimchi jeon, tofu kimchi, fried seafood udon, army stew, bulgogi, and fried dumplings. We were really hungry so we definitely went overboard on ordering (we probably could have gotten away with ordering 1 less entree), but it was nice to try everything! My favorites were the jeon platter, kimchi jeon, and bulgogi. What we didn't realize until we got there was they have karaoke rooms in the back! It was $40/hr which is quite reasonable for the area. So we ended our night singing for a couple of hours, and it was super convenient being able to eat dinner and have a karaoke night in one spot, especially since we ubered.Everyone was super nice and friendly, and my friends and I will definitely be making the trek from DC to Annandale again to come back here! As a side note, It looks like this place also goes by DaMoim, so do not be thrown off if you see DaMoim on the front entrance!
