So I went to Yanzi Noodle House on a soup craving mission, and WOW. First off, the staff is super chill and friendly. They totally schooled me on Lousifen, which is this amazing broth with...wait for it...snails! I was a little hesitant, but they explained it so well, and I'm so glad I gave it a shot.We got a big bowl of it to share, and everyone, including my 10-year-old, was slurping it up. Seriously, the broth is packed with flavor, and they have this spicy vinegar and other stuff on the table so you can customize it to your heart's content. We also got some basil popcorn chicken (duh, always a good choice for the kiddos) and this beef burrito thing that's basically a scallion pancake stuffed with beef. The owner even came over to chat, which was cool. They're working on a new menu, and I'm already excited to try it. Seriously, if you're looking for noodles and unique flavors, check them out! up

If you love Japanese Ramen, or Vietnamese Pho, you should try the Southern Chinese rendition of Soup Noodles - Luosifen! Thought Rockville, Maryland had great Chinese food? Well this is a spot I definitely wish was in my area heh~Delicious LuosifenMushroom Pork LuosifenBeef BurritoCold Stir Shallot w. Bean CurdMapo TofuThe Luosifen broth is a nice switchup from the other mainstream soup noodles I typically have, it hits LOTS of tasty notes: savory, slightly sour, spicy, its made from River Snails, but don't let that put you off because it's definitely worth trying. This style of Chinese soup noodles with the toppings (peanuts, pickled greens, wood ear mushroom, fried tofu) brings me back to childhood. The other items were really great as well, the Mapo Tofu from their NEW Sichuan Menu was suuuper flavorful, some of the best I've had. The Beef Burrito was delicious, tender beef wrapped in a scallion pancake~Service was also friendly and quick, the owner Chef Yanzi is super friendly, and gave a little backstory on the origins of Luosifen and her cuisine.

My new favorite asian noodle soup! I had the Signature Luosifen and found the complex flavors and textures to be perfectly balanced. Do not sleep on the secret vinegar. I also had the Mapo Tofu and it is legitimately one of the very best I've had in NoVa. The service was outstanding and the entire staff and the chef was super friendly and passionate about the food. I can't wait to go back.

Service and Food: Zhèng Zōng!This restaurant offers only indoor seating, but they can accommodate small to large groups. If you're planning to visit with a bigger party, it's highly recommended to book in advance. They also provide catering services, which is a great option for events. The service was exceptional. As soon as you step through the door, you're warmly greeted by the owner herself. Each table is equipped with a QR code that takes you to their web app, where you can browse the menu, order, and even click "Get Check" when you're ready to pay--super convenient! One standout feature of the app is that it includes photos of the dishes, which is a big help if you're not familiar with the menu. Since it was our first visit, the owner personally introduced us to the menu, sharing its history and offering recommendations. Her attention made the experience even more memorable. The Food:I didn't expect my partner to enjoy the noodles as much as he did! We played it safe with the Beef Flank Luosifen and their Beef Burrito, but with a unique twist. The soup is made with snail rice noodles, a specialty from Guangxi. Don't worry--it's not actually made with snails! The broth has a distinct flavor that sets it apart from instant or ramen noodles. Adding their vinegar and homemade chili oil elevates the dish to another level. The condiments also paired perfectly with the Beef Burrito. We'll definitely be coming back to this place. It's absolutely worth it, and it's such a fun way to expand our palates while exploring a different cuisine and culture!

The two tables next to us traveled from DC and Frederick, MD to try their famous luosifen which is a rice noodle soup with broth made from river snails, pork bones, and other ingredients. Other reviewers were right about this place having a particular smell. Once you walk in, the aroma of their food is pretty distinctive. I've never had luosifen before and the mushroom with pork luosifen was very good. It had crispy pork skin, bok choy, peanuts, scallions, the rice noodles, and mushrooms of course. The soup was tangy, salty, sweet, and a little pungent. It's different than any Asian noodle soup I've had. The second item that I enjoyed was their beef burrito. It's almost like a scallion pancake with beef and a sweet sauce in the center. It was crispy and savory. We also ordered the wonton noodle soup, another beef noodle soup, and a pork with rice dish (clearly, we over ordered) because we wanted to try a little bit of everything. Those dishes were good but not as memorable as the luosifen and beef burrito. Their Taiwanese popcorn chicken was popular amongst our kids. They ate that dish up! It wasn't as seasoned as most popcorn chicken I've had but this worked in our kids' favor. Service was friendly, maybe not the most attentive but they were nice and explained their menu well. The place also wasn't the most clean. I saw pieces of meat stuck between the bench and some rice on the chairs that was supposedly cleaned already. The smell is definitely something to get used to. But I would return for their luosifen.

I was trying to find something a little different and Yanzi was out around where I was running errands.Go in, pick a seat, and start looking over the menu. It was a little confusing as you need to check it via QR code. One of the people working came over and started talking me through it all, which was really helpful.I know the luosifen is their thing, but I was definitely having some trouble with the menu and took the lazy route: wonton soup with noodles. I decided to add on some roasted pork. Dish came out quickly and they have condiments at the table. The food was delicious. The roast pork was a bit of a small size for the price of the add-on, so I might skip that in the future. Now that I know the process a bit better, I think next time I'll give the luosifen a shot!

We were craving for a bowl of hot noodle soup on a cold wintry night and am glad to have found this restaurant. I ordered the house special which is luosifen noodles with vegetables and pork filled with delicious toppings in a tasty spicy broth. The noodles were cooked perfectly. The owner was very friendly and helped us with ordering the dishes. The beef burrito ( not sure about that name) was crispy and delicious.I'd like to try the dry versions of the house special next time.

Service: the owner waited on us and she was so sweet. Came and checked up on the table a few times.Food: Delicious noodles. We did medium spicy. You can add more spice to it with the mild chili flakes, extra spicy sauce and secret vinegar. We also had the beef pancakes rolls which were amazing. Also the fried calamari and popcorn chicken were nice and crunchy. We had an order of Taiwanese kimchi which is similar to Vietnamese pickled daikon and carrots that Im familiar with.

this place is delicious! If you're craving noodles and noodle soup, I highly recommend. The restaurant is very clean and has a nice atmosphere. The prices are very reasonable and the quantity is huge. Tons of toppings in the noodle soup and well worth it. The owner is also extremely nice and service was great. The menu has pictures for everything so you know what you're getting. I tried the signature beef noodle soup and again, was delicious. they also have different spicy options and you can add more spice from your table if you need to. will be coming back!
