I think overall quality is just average. Nice service, friendly, they ask how everything is. I prefer other Indian restaurant. Chicken meat on butter chicken and the biryani is super tough, overcooked. Goat is nice. Butter chicken sauce is not as sweet as I'd like and usually get from other places. They bring out personal dosa and garlic Naan. which is a nice touch. Palak paneer is decent. Dosa has nice texture but the filling could use more seasoning.Oddly enough, I keep biting into whole cardamoms on pakora and something else...tandoori chicken is decent but barely warm.

Decor / Service was fine, no complaints there. But this place gets 3 stars just based on flavor / food quality alone. We did the buffet, and it was excruciatingly average. Chana and Palak weren't spiced enough and lacked flavor. The chicken in the Tikka Masala was tough, not nearly tender enough as it should be. Dal Makhani was rather bland, it had way too strong of a canned bean flavor for being a lentil dish. The goat curry had good flavor, but the goat meat was way too chewy. However, the chutneys were on point, the samosa / pakora were both good. The best dish is definitely the tandoori chicken, if the other chicken dishes had this quality of chicken it would be overall much better.Unfortunately, this place offers an average buffet at a premium price. For the same price you can get much better indian food elsewhere.

They just opened two weeks ago and I can already tell that they are going to be a hit!! The service is impeccable and they really want to make sure you have a great experience. I'm not a massive curry fan and I found more than enough food on this buffet to leave full and happy! My husband loves Indian food and said that his food was delicious and that we would be back! Great ambiance inside and a the perfect patio for the beautiful MD summer

Lunch buffet is good value for what they offer, and has great service. The lighting is pleasant along with the decor. Very attentive to refilling things quickly from their buffet. This isn't one of those buffets where you come in at a weird hour and they don't really have anything anymore. No, Yaar spice does it right. My favorite is their biryani. They bring Naan to your table and drinks (soda and tea) is included.

Good service, good food, good atmosphere. Naan is served fresh table side, drinks are included, explosions of colors and flavors in all dishes, and they had great machai tea! My wife, however, thought she had better and docked a star. So it's a 3 star. I wasn't about to argue with her on this topic. Nom Nom Nom!

Decided to check this place out for their lunch buffet since it got good reviews, plus it was only $20. When I arrived, it was pretty packed with Indians, so I figured the food must be good. They had several vegan/non-vegan dishes and several apps like puri, chaat, & samosas. I was one of the first to dig in and quickly noticed the food had been sitting out for a while; it was luke warm, at best. Cold, fried food just doesn't hit and the samosas and pakora weren't too appetizing. I ended up liking the vegan dishes a little better; the saag, chana, and paneer were good and had great flavor. The butter chicken and chicken vindaloo, both suffered from lack of salt and chicken breast being way overcooked. The tandoori chicken, all dark meat, was excellent; juicy and flavorful. The goat curry was very good; meat was tender and fell off the bone. The curry was also very flavorful, by far, my favorite dish. They bring hot buttered naan to your table, and it was excellent; ended up using it mostly to soak up some of the sauces. There's a lot of good Indian places around, and I hope this place makes it. I'd return again, but hopefully they can fix some of the kinks.

Went for a lunch buffet and it was empty. There are not a lot of food choices. Everything tasted very light and flavorless. I didn't even go for a second round since they don't have much. They have some type of dal on a platter and it was all dried up. Hope they can improve and add more items. The price is around the same as others in the area. Lastly, the server came to ask if we wanted naan when we were almost done eating.

The food was lovely, the shrimp Biryani really tasted homemade, not just from a spice mix, like so many other places. The Lamb Korma had a wonderful almond sauce. My daughter thought the butter chicken was too acidic a tomato sauce, but since I don't care for butter chicken I didn't care. The spinach chicken was a lovely creamy sauce and succulent chicken pieces.Service was excellent, always checking that we had enough rice and water. When we mentioned we had a birthday among our party they surprised us with three wonderful desserts, a birthday candle, and music to celebrate. They really made my mom's 94 birthday special!

I am giving only a one star rating because of their ridiculously overpriced menu. I am an Indian and know how much the ingredients or the preparation costs are. And I love Indian food, so I have tried most Indian restaurants in the area. Yaar spice is one of the priciest ones while the food quality is at par than many others. Many buffet places or even the thali places cost 20-30 dollars for an all you can eat extensive yet very very delicious menu. So I would never pay again $22 for a single entree or $3 for a papad that costs a dime. You are not a five star hotel restaurant guys and if you want to do successful business, be mindful of what you are charging.
