Incredibly delicious Chinese food. Plus simple, unimpressive interior and subpar service. Which is how you know it's a truly authentic Asian restaurant :) We tried the following:- Spicy lotus root slices - delicious! Highly recommended. It was not too spicy and actually had a slightly sweet kick too, which I really enjoyed. It provided a nice refreshing (and sweeter) balance to all other spicy dishes. - Chili oil wontons - probably the best chili oil wontons I've ever had so far! They were soft, chewy, and flavorful. The pork tasted really good, and the wonton wrappers were super fresh with a soft springy/doughy mouthfeel to them. - Zajiang noodles - quite spicy and flavorful with a good chewiness to the noodles. Only con is that the pork meat was very finely grounded, which I wasn't a big fan of (I prefer a coarser grind). - Sichuan beef noodle soup - beef was very moist and tender. Noodles were plentiful and chewy.

The parking availability here is very limited, but fortunately they told me I could park in front of the restaurant (and of course, I watched my car like a hawk as we were eating). I was here for lunch on a weekday and surprisingly there were a good amount of people. The ordering process is really simple here. You scan the QR code and can order through their website. And before leaving, a server will come over with a tablet for you to pay.三鲜米线 TRIPLE DELIGHT RICE NOODLES - 15.95This was perfect for a chilly and rainy afternoon. The portion size is pretty big with lots of rice noodles and toppings like spam, napa cabbage, pork, mushrooms, quail eggs, and more! The broth was very creamy and savory, but at the end, it was too salty and fatty. Overall, this was enjoyable and if I'm craving this kind of noodles, I'll order this again.酸辣藕片 SPICY LOTUS ROOT SLICES - 3.95Not a whole lot of lotus roots for the price, but it was soaked in a nice spicy sauce taht we all enjoyed. My friends enjoyed the Sichuan noodle soup and the pickled cabbage rice noodles. I haven't been here before, but glad we all got to try it.

Our new favorite spicy Chinese restaurant in the D.C.metro area. Great dishes at reasonable prices. Seems family owned. This is our second time going here in about 6 weeks. Highly recommended.

Small place with very limited parking! However, the food was so good and was perfect on a cold day. The portions are generous, and the service is friendly. Highly recommend the salt and pepper squid!

We love Y Noodles! Authentic food at very reasonable prices and generous portions. Spice levels and flavors are super close to foods we've had in Shanghai and Hong Kong. Noodles are perfectly cooked without being too soft. Highly recommend the skewers esp the lamb. The worst part is the parking bc there are very few spaces. We've parked across the street but crossing the busy road is less than ideal. There are signs not to park and walk off but it's such a huge lot I think the risk of being towed is relatively low. Inside is a modest seating area with basic tables and chairs. They have a tv playing POV walking videos of various places in China. Service is basically ordering on your phone via QR code specific to your table. Servers are good about refilling water or addressing any other basic needs you might have such as forks instead of default chopsticks. Bottom line: If you're looking an authentic experience where the focus is on the food, definitely check out Y Noodles. I'd recommend coming during off peak hours bc of the parking issue.

If you have been to Yu Noodles in Fairfax, Herndon, or McLean, you might be wondering if this Y Noodles is another branch. It is not! However, their tastes are very similar. I'm leaning towards Y Noodles over Yu Noodles for a few reasons. I counted the seats. There were just 30 of them. It's a tiny restaurant which is a vibe itself. It looks like a family-run business and this is the only branch. If you're bringing company, bring them for the food but not the décor. It's all essentials - I'm more than okay with that. Most importantly, the Noodles taste very similar to my hometown (which I call the Noodle Capital of the world). It's tough for any place in the US to match the taste there. I know, my bar is pretty high and you have absolutely no idea if I'm just making it up but, hey, Y Noodles is almost right up there with their Chili Wonton soup.Being more realistic (with the general public around Nova in mind), the power of the chili and spices here can be uncomfortably overwhelming for the average tongue. I grew up in Asia so this is a piece of cake for me. I prefer it. The food tastes better with that much spice in it. My only complaint is that there's just wayyyyyy too much oil. The food could still taste the same with less oil but that's not enough to prevent me from coming back. The staff works fast and the food comes out very quickly. The place is small so it's very efficiently managed. The beef and lamb skewers taste amazing. Beware they pour hot chili oil all over the skewers. If that isn't your thing, ask! I recommend it as-is though. I usually get my pork buns at 7 Corner despite the tightly packed meat clump inside. The pork buns here set an example of how the REAL pork buns should be! You must try them! Next, the Chili Wonton soup you must get. It just transports my tastebuds back to my hometown. Bottom Line: Authentic AF Chinese noodles! It's spicy city! Prepare to cry and blow thy nose. If you don't mind chili, you'll love this place. There are so many other noodles left for me to come back for.

Tried the beef noodles, cold Chongqing noodles, lamb skewer, pork bun, and a couple vegetable dishes. The Chongqing noodles were delicious but I couldn't eat much of them due to how spicy they were. The beef noodles were more manageable, as there were parts of the noodles not soaked in spice, and the beef didn't seem to soak up the spice much. The pork bun is yummy and tasted almost sweet compared to the spicy noodles, but is probably mainly savory. The lamb skewer was my favorite, not really spicy but very flavorful. I'd get a bunch of these with some rice next time!

Caveat that I'm not from Chongqing but the noodles here are fantastic, they remind me of a favorite joint of mine in SF.5% discount here if you pay in cash.No reservations, so just show up, it's a fast casual restaurant - we got seated with a party of 6 on a Sunday at around 6:30. You order online with a QR code for the table. The restaurant filled up quickly after we got our food, at around 7.There's lots of offal dishes here that we didn't try, as some members of my dinner party are new to Chongqing food.If you intend on doing family style, the rice noodles are a little bit harder to share, as they don't pick up as much flavor from the broth, so make sure to scoop enough broth into your bowl! That's where all the flavor is!I loved the Chongqing noodles (nonrice), there's so much flavor in the chili oil. Also definitely try the steamed pork ribs with sticky rice, that was the hit dish with my group. We also loved the spicy lotus root and the three ingredient cold plate, although some people found them to be a bit too spicy! So watch out.

All of the dishes were spicy and I loved it! Let's just get right into why the food is 5/5.I had the Spicy Pepper Chicken Offal Noodles. The slightly sour tasting peppers brought a different tingle to the spicy broth. The chewy offals/entrails of the chicken soaked in the spices really well! And to hold everything together, the noodles served as the ultimate complement and counterbalance to all of the other strong flavors. Yes, this is a spicy dish but it's a balanced one.The tossed clear noodles appetizer had a bland taste in the thick noodles (but this is done on purpose). The chili sauces in this dish is even stronger than the entree dishes. So when the bland tossed noodles fused with the chili sauce, a really tasty fusion of flavors hit all the sensors in one's mouth. The beef throat skewer was honestly just too spicy hahhaa. I was caught off guard with the red spicy powders on the beef throat. Still delicious though! The spicy squid mixed the element of crunch into the other flavors. This was another really good appetizer!I can't comment on the cucumber and Chongqing noodles because I forgot to taste them All of the ones that I had tasted deserve reorders and more reorders on top of that! This is a must visit restaurant for all you SPICE LOVERS!$70 post tax and tip for two noodles, 5 appetizers, and 1 bowl of rice (they charged $1 for rice ). The overall price is an absolute steal though!
