I've been impressed with the quality of the food on both of my visits. It must be pretty authentic because almost all of the customers are Latinos. IIRC, the menu is almost all in Spanish, so it's a bit of a crap shoot for an English speaker like me. But I've been happy with the results so far.The rib meat was wonderfully seasoned. The $10.99 pupusa was as big as a pizza and tasty. The tres leches cake was scrumptious and most as it sat in a pool of flavorful milk.I recommend the place and hope to bring more friends there.

The food is nice, place is small but the people are nice. Service could be faster but overall I enjoy it whenever I go in.

About a 2.5: Our first visit to Wendy's was such a delicious one, so we knew we had to return for the birria as well as to try one of their skillet entrees. We ordered:+birria+You make your way up to the cashier and place you order; then, you find a spot, and the servers will bring the food out to you.I ordered:+a cheese pupusa+a chicken tamale+beef short rib entreeUnfortunately, aside from the beef short ribs which came out on a hot skillet, both the birria and the tamale came out cold. I felt as if these were prepared in advance and were just haphazardly reheated. The tamale did have good taste, but it was cold and slightly slimy. The birria and the consommé were not piping hot like last time, with the ooey gooey melty cheese - instead, it was lukewarm, the cheese was cold, and the consommé was of room temperature.Plenty of parking in the parking lot.+inconsistent quality of food+cold food served

I'm glad I saw the name Wendy's and then kept reading and discovered it was a pupuseria. I have been craving pupusas for the past month or so and definitely decided to take advantage of seeing this restaurant. I called and placed an order over the phone that was really easy to do and I was happy to hear that they actually have chicken and cheese pupusas. It's becoming more popular because years ago, when I first discovered them, hardly any restaurants offered chicken and cheese versions. I went to pick it up and it was almost ready, I was a little early but that was okay and made the difference. When I got to the car, I started off with the tamale. It was a traditional El Salvadorian tamale but smaller then I'm accustomed to. It was juicy and wrapped in a banana leaf which kept it moist and intensified all the flavors.I love that my chicken and cheese pupusa was so hot I could hardly hold it. The burnt cheese on the outside, the gooey cheese in the middle along with the shredded chicken, so good. I'm not a fan of the red sauce so I didn't eat that but I did try the cortito. It seemed a little non-traditional for me because it was orange and I didn't taste anything spicy. Not even a slice of jalapeno with it. I guess it's one of those things where people make their own versions. I did get the pickling taste though so pairing it with the piping hot papusa made me do my happy dance. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll definitely go back!

A true HOME cooked meal!!!!walking into this establishment does not seem like you would have one of the best food experiences in your life, But I've never felt more at home.I ordered the Birrar Tacos, this being a Salvadoran spot i didn't expect much from this order, but I must say I was WRONG. The plate looked amazing and a good amount of meat that was soooo moist and the cheese, Cilantro, and Onion were fresh. The consomé really stole the show. Overall I was amazed in that amount of flavor that came from this dish. My significant other order the pupusas and they enjoyed and devoured their food lol. Overall I totally recommend this spot! The ambiance was simple and lovely - but the food speaks for itself.

During a week-long stay in Lanham, MD, for my wife's work, our sweet tooth led us to an unforgettable dessert experience. Craving something special, I ordered tres leches from Pupuseria Wendy, and the delivery through Uber was nothing short of impressive. First, let's talk about the packaging. Each container was meticulously plastic-wrapped to prevent leaks and enclosed in multiple plastic bags. The attention to detail extended to branded stickers on each bag, ensuring tamper-free delivery. This level of care set the stage for what was to come. Priced at $6.99 each, the tres leches arrived in perfect condition. As we opened each pack, the first thing that greeted us was the intoxicating aroma of freshly ground cinnamon. This was just the beginning of an extraordinary dessert experience. The tres leches itself was a revelation. The layers of sponge cake were soaked in a heavenly blend of three milks, creating a texture that was both moist and incredibly rich. The balance of sweetness was perfect, not overpowering but just right, allowing the natural flavors to shine through. Each bite was a symphony of taste and texture, with the cinnamon adding a delightful warmth that elevated the entire dessert. In essence, the tres leches from Pupuseria Wendy is a must-try. It's a dessert that not only satisfies your sweet cravings but leaves a lasting impression. If you find yourself in Lanham, MD, don't miss the chance to indulge in this world-changing, mouth-watering treat. It's an experience that's worth every penny. We'll probably have to order or dine in for dinner tomorrow !

I have ordered here before and we had a pleasant experience so I come back today with my family hoping to enjoy a good meal to which I ordered some CHICKEN empanadas, some shrimps, and a breakfast meal, We had to wait a very long time for our food to come when the place was barley full only about 3 people there at max and we waited a little over 30 minutes, once we got our food we came home to eat and the breakfast meal was ok yet the eggs were made weird then we check the rest of our meal not only was the shrimps have clearly been frozen and lost flavor but we check the empanadas and they didn't give us what we asked for instead we got platanos empanadas so at first we just went with it till we realize that it was made awfully and was even raw we then had to call the restaurant and tell them to which luckily we got refunded and got what we asked for yet once we got the "Fixed" order it didn't have any sauce or cabbage nor was it good and not only that but the lady cooking the food threw the order on the counter angrily. definitely would not recommend coming here unless you expect terrible service spend you're money elsewhere but trust and believe this isn't the place you'd want to go.
